Business serviceMy wife and I (both middle-aged) stayed 4 nites here. We stayed in a "patio" suite. The rooms were decorated in dark woods and tile. The bathroom was huge. The comfort level was excellent, although the mattress was a bit firm.Room service breakfast (included in the room rate) was great. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The on premises restaurant serves high quality, gourmet meals. The staff is attentive and friendly; English is understood. A taxi stand is directly outside the front door.
This is an outstanding hotel.
You certainly can find other, more inexpensive places to stay in Cuernavaca, but I think that the quality and pampering that you receive at Las Mananitas are well worth it.

Service....or in all of Mexico, this was considered THE place. It's even in that book "1000 Places to See Before You Die".
We didn't quite "get it".
That's not to say that service isn't very good (but in top flight hotels you always get a "Good Morning" from even the housekeepers.....there was the occasional "Buenos Dias" but no "Welcome" or "Have A Good Evening" from the ever present front door staff.) Yes requests for help with the safe, a second down pillow and ice in the room were very promptly filled but no turn down service ????
Yes dining outdoors is lovely and the service is good and the food and drinks delicious..... BUT (and I've put out the money for those Michelin Star places in France) be ready for sticker shock !!!
The room ( # 2 terraza "suite".......suite???? It was a room with a terrace,,,,how does that qualify as a suite???) was nice and they do have A/C. The screen doors didn't quite close completely but there were no flying bugs...and when we got tired of the nightly Mariachis and chattering cocktailing visitors directly below we put closed the terrace door and put on the A/C.
Lovely grounds with an army of caretakers and waiters....almost felt there were more workers than hotel and dining guests....oh, there were !. I did not see anyone who was not staying at the hotel wandering over to where the pool is or the other gardens. It really is an oasis from the outside hustle and bustle of downtown Cuernavaca.
It is about 8 blocks walking to the Zocalo, Palacio de Cortez, Cathedral, Brady Museum (very cool and interesting) and Jardin. Rest Gaia was fabulous, La India Bonita very nice and reasonable. Central bus station is about 12 blocks but "Casino" Bus station from where the very worthwhile Pullman of Morelos airport bus arrives/ leaves is further...with luggage both require a taxi. There's a 10 peso/ hr Internet place on the corner of Linares and Morelos/ Matamoros.
Overall: Indulgent Luxury...not to me. My least expensive room w/ incl breakfast booked thru hotel website (with some difficulties that they were coutreous enough to compensated for) was good value. Glad I stayed but not blown away Ritz Carlton/ Mandarin Oriental/ 4 Seasons style.

ServiceLas Mananitas was the only property we considered when we were invited to a wedding in Cuernavaca in May. Over 50 years ago my parents had stayed there, loved it and I was more than curious about the hotel today. We were absolutely not disappointed. The staff was wonderful, accommodating, gracious and knowledgeable about the area. The food was superb - especially the homeade ice cream! Our room was beautiful and impeccably maintained. The smallest problem (the first night we couldn't get the safe to close) was handled immediately and with great care.
The resident peacocks and parrots can be a bit noisy at times, but are so charming and add such an exotic flair to the hotel that one quickly gets used to their cries -- and there is not a hint of them as far as cleanliness is concerned. Management takes great pains to make sure they are seen, but not messy....There is no question that we will go back someday!

ServiceBeautiful grounds, very well maintained. Great pool area. Very attentive service, and excellent food. I definitely recommend this hotel. It is is expensive but worth the price. I would also recommend to take Pullman de Morelos bus service from Mexico City airport. Very convenient for 125 pesos one way. From bus terminal it is a very short taxi ride.
