Yeah, the place is nice, and it's in the New York Times, blah blah blah.
We stayed here and got room number 9, which is really, really bad, and more so because it cost us $80 (before taxes). It's totally enclosed, with no natural light and a window only down to the lobby. Not good. Not fun. And depressing inside. Ugh.
For a better value, I'd suggest the Rosa Morada - an equal distance from the sights in TLPQ, with a beautiful (!) courtyard, very romantic rooms and more affordable prices (and all the same amenities, including wireless, breakfast, etc.) Much more boutique-y (that tired, overused word) and much more comfortable. Really nothing boutique about the QDJ - it feels rather commercial to me.
I'm staying at the Rosa Morada next time.
