“Simply The Best”

Quinta Las Acacias

This is how an hotel should be - a friendly, knowledgable team, every need anticipated and an imaginative menu in the restaurant. There are many hotels that could learn from the Quinta Las Acacias.
My room was not in the main building but this was a bonus as it meant I could walk past the water features and enjoy the sun whilst walking the short distance to the restaurant. And the spa bath in my room was a fantastic bonus.
If you are offered the chance to visit this hotel - take it.

“First Class All the Way”

Quinta Las Acacias

Mar 20, 2008

Our trip to Guanajuato could not have been more perfect, and Quinta Las Acacias is hands down the most beautiful hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. We were greeted at the airport by a driver from the hotel and treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The Don Ismael Suite and surrounding gardens were breathtaking. The main house is just as beautiful, decorated exquisitely. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel each morning of our stay and, as I told the wait staff also, I had the BEST orange juice, coffee, an omelettes I have ever tasted. They did a wonderful job of including regional specialties in the menu, but also offered food that was familiar to us. I simply cannot express in words how attentive and gracious the staff was, I felt like a queen. The entire stay was very relaxing, almost like being in the home of a good friend. If we are ever able to return to Guanajuato we will not even consider another hotel besides the Quinta Las Acacias!

“Great Hotel but beware”

Quinta Las Acacias

Feb 8, 2008

Great Hotel , great service but make sure your room does not face the street unless early morning trafic noise does not bother you.
Otherwise, highly recommended.

“Outstanding Accomodations”

I highly recommend Quinta Las Acacias. If you don't mind spending a few extra pesos, this oasis in Guanajuato is one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The staff, restaurant, room, service--all are top notch. From the day I reserved my room to the day I left, I had an excellent experience. The restaurant is one of the best in the city. The key staff are attentive, bilingual, and courteous. The room was amazing.
Some observations. The cost may be prohibitive, however, I negotiated a lower price with the mgt, since I was staying for an extended period. The hotel is located on the edge of town, and away from the noise of downtown, but this means a good 25 minute walk to the center, and another such walk, if you do not take a cab (not expensive) to return, and the return walk is mostly uphill. From the street to my room was 70 steps (no elevators), so not for those for whom a vigorous walk is a challenge--add that to the nearly 7,000 ft. altitude and you'll get a workout. Another challenge was the constant ringing of church bells, every 15 minutes, day and night. I got used to it after a while, but it can be annoying. In conclusion, if you don't mind spending a bit extra, you can't go wrong here.

“The Best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Quinta Las Acacias

5 of 5 stars
beverly hills
Dec 6, 2007

My wife and I have traveled throughout Mexico since our honeymoon in 1973 in Cabo San Lucas at the El Camino Real- before airports, jets- in fact it was a DC- 3 that got us there landing on a "dirt strip"!
That's when we fell in love with Mexico-it's people and culture-

Our last trip trip to Guanujato for the "Day of the Dead" was the best EVER-
Our hotel Quinta Las Acacias captured the essence of the city and region-
Service and rooms were LUXURIOUS yet not STUFFY- each room had it's own theme and personality-and FIRST class-

My Brother and wife had never been to the interior before-they were knocked out with the hotel and the staff-

Breakfast was fantastic- I highly recommend their pancakes and French Toast- they have their unique Mexican influence along with their prized homemade jams and syrups-or their typical Mexican delights-

If you are looking for a "cookie cutter" large impersonal hotel DO NOT go Quinta Las Acacias!

We cannot wait to go back! The city is also marvelous-

Many thanks to Ana and her staff-

Yes there is one drawback- the hotel is multi-level- so if walking is a problem- make sure your room is not way up there- otherwise- "The Best"!

Sincerely, Stuart Rosen
