I don't understand how this hotel is in the list of "the leading hotel of the World"? I was staying in this hotel during 1 week. It's was really a deception, service was really bad and personal are really not friendly.

I suggest you to find another 5 stars hotel to have a real 5 stars hotel services.

I stayed at the Gran Melia Mexico reforma 2 nights.
The hotel location is well for business travel more than for tourists as the hotel is not walking-distance from city center, but yuo need to use a taxi.
The room was fine, clean and confortable.
Breakfast was included in our rate and it was a goof breakfast buffet.
The hotel has a good rate compare to others international hotels in Mexico city and even if it is not a really 5 stars hotel, the rate/quality is fine.

I stayed at the Gran Melia Reforma and booked the Master Suite with the Royal Service Plan. The Royal Service Plan includes continental breakfast, snacks, and cocktails from 6-8pm. The service also has a private check-in and check-out on the 12th floor. The complaints I have is that I didn't get the service which I paid for. I was tipping extra on room service when I found out at check-out that I was being charged for tip everytime I ordered. The breakfast was really bad, they should go visit the Marquis Reforma and get some tips from their breakfast buffett!! On the Royal Service lounge, they only have one PC for internet access. The only person that was professional and courteous was Elizabeth and Thank You soo much for your understanding. I was traveling with my wife and kids 3yr old daugher and 19 month old son. Anyone traveling to Mexico City should look up the JW Marriott and the Marquis Reforma. I have other complaints about the Royal Service Staff that I will not go into.

Spent 3 nights at this Melia . The rooms are fine , a good size and clean, however the public areas such as the lounge (there isn't really one ) and bar areas to us were not 5* and had a very business feel not great for holiday relaxation especially at night .

The main bar has very loud music every night and the 2nd bar is within the main reception area not very atmospheric or comfortable .There is a 2nd bar/lounge but only for Melia club members. To us the hotel restaurant did not look appealing although the breakfast buffet is excellent . We did not try the pool but the gym was ok although abit basic .

When going out at night we used the hotel taxi's who we would call when we wanted a return pick up except one restaurant refused to help us call them so we ended up using a street taxi .We told the hotel and they were going to look into the restaurents behaviour as they should have rang the hotel taxi for us

I would use this hotel for busines but its facilities are not 5* (the bedroom is ok ) and would not recommend it for holiday use especially if planning to stay a few nights .
