This was my sixth trip to Oaxaca and my third stay at the Marques.
Location, Location, Location! The hotel is staffed by people who are truly dedicated to making your stay comfortable. The rooms are squeaky clean and supplied with bottled water daily. There are fresh calla lillies in the hallways each morning. Hint: Shower early in the a.m. A wonderful city and a beautiful hotel. I was in Oaxaca for the Night of the Radishes during the Christmas holidays.

Great location, very comfortable room, lovely people. Top marks all around.

What a pleasant surprise! The Marques del Valle hotel has undergone a total renovation.

Room decour is excelent. Many rooms with an electronic safe, ceramic floors, hair drier, fluffy giant bath towels, etc.

The owner has taken back control of the restaurant. His daughter, who has a masters degree in food an nutrition and extensive training at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in France, has transformed the restaurant into a first classs mexican cuisine, "must eat" place.

this hotel, adjacent to the Cathedral, is a beautiful, historical monument. the staff is gracious, rooms fantastic, and if requested, you can enjoy the zocalo from your balcony.
I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else....even though oaxaca is full of gorgeous, old hotels.
