This was a great find! The property is lovely and the rooms are adorable. The location can't be beat--convenient but not loud. We greatly appreciated the personal attention provided by Jon and Judith (and their family and staff)--it truly was above and beyond. I would not stay anywhere else in Oaxaca.

We were on our first trip to Oaxaca City. No one we knew had ever been disappointed in the area. Either were we!! One of the main reasons was our wonderful stay at this great B & B. The family, the interesting breakfasts, and the wonderful staff all helped to make our trip memorable.
It was the first time in my life that I hugged the staff as I left the premises on the last day of our stay. What wonderful hosts , what a fun stay in an interesting city.

I just spent 13 day at the Ollin while I participated in the Bed and Breakfast Association’s Culinary Secrets of the Oaxaca Kitchen and can not praise the owners and the staff of the Ollin enough for making my stay fabulous. The B&B was beautiful, the pool a real treat after a day of walking in the town and everyone who works there was friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts, which feature a different Oaxacan treat, every day were delicious. I am really going to miss the tamales and the other dishes from the talented cook. John and Judith make you feel like part of the family and go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

We were at Oaxaca Ollin recently since my husband (aka the Emperor) was celebrating his birthday , and it was a marvelous experience. The B and B and the grounds are even lovelier than they appear on the website, and the service of their staff is superb. The hosts Jon and Judith set a wonderful tone of hospitality and friendliness, which placed everyone at ease immediately and made us feel part of a large family. They are a fountain of useful information and made several important suggestions which distinctly enhanced our trip. The room was attractive and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the pool and terrace and beautiful vegetation. Breakfast was delicious every morning especially the tamal de mole. Our sincere thanks to Jon and Judith and their great staff for all they did to make us feel so welcome and well-cared for.
All of the recent postings appear to have been done by our fellow guests, and I hope they see this and realize that they also were a large part of what made our stay so special. We had such a wonderful time at breakfast every morning, that we often did not begin our sightseeing until late in the morning or in the middle of the day. Thank you to everyone and we hope our paths cross again!
