The silence from Maureen was deafening as we entered our cabana. Not quite the oasis that she had in mind...... Rustic does describe the rooms at Bahia del la Luna. Concrete walls, palapa roof, concrete floors, counters and sink. No lacy frills here, just the basics. Then, that is all we needed. We spent all of our time on the beach under a palapa, reading, swimming, snorkling, kayaking, fishing, sitting, drinking cervezas, munching, chilling, visiting - it never got old. We enjoyed the beach from 6AM until 6PM, cleaned and dressed for dinner and enjoyed twilight at the beach front restaurant. After dinner, we would sit on the adarondak chairs on the beach and watch to moon rise. A hike up the hill to our room by flashlight, hit the hay, and wake up to do it all over again. What a life. Despite a big "hairy spider" and a couple of lizzards in our room, even Maureen came to enjoy our rustic home. Reto and staff made sure that we had everything that we needed and the dinners were excellent. This place is not Cabo, Aculpulco, or Puerto Vallerta. Thank you Reto!!
