We booked to get married there, 15 family members went with us, we had no hot water for days, the pool areas are very slippery and dangerous, the food is disgusting, the beer is served in smelly plastic cups, everything shuts down at 12pm, they just turn all the lights off while your sitting there.

Workmen kept banging bits of metal whilst our ceremony was taking place which sounds lovely on the video, extra music I guess. We spent thousands overall and I wished we had gone to another Hotel.

what can i say about the el pueblito, have stayed there twice only fault i could find was when it is fully booked you can have a bit of a wait for a table in the restaurant, apart from this the staff are lovely always smiling nothing is too much trouble for them, rooms spacious and kept spotlessly clean , the hotel is not the most modern but this is part of its charm the garden setting is lovely, and the pool lay out great something for everyone from the smallest of kiddies up to the serious swimmer, the beach fabulous and a few steps down from the hotel, its been a couple of years since my last visit but the food was of a high standard and varied enough to satisfy all appetites, made friends with so many people on this holiday who still keep in touch , some have even visited us, and we them , not the fanciest hotel i have ever stayed in but one of the best

“Great if you're young and just want to party!”

Granted I did stay here a while ago, but felt I should still put in my 2 cents since a lot of people had bad things to say about it.

El Pueblito is not a place to stay if you want to enjoy the hotel and/or go on vacation as a family. I went to Cancun when I was 19 and this place was PERFECT for exactly what we wanted. We paid $600 for the flight+hotel from New York City and got just what we expected - a bed, unlimited fries, hot dogs and drinks and a bus waiting outside every night to take us out to the clubs. Yes, there were a few bugs and maybe we had to harass the staff for towels a few times, but that was an hour of our day. We'd sleep on the beach, get trashed at the hotel and get on the bus to where all the nightlife is. It's right next to the Hilton and right on the strip - not far at all. Oasis is mayne 10 mins closer to all the action - if that. So if this is what you want - this place was actually really awesome. The Oasis is thee party hotel for young people, but it was expensive and the foam party sucked from what we heard. It's close to the clubs, it's CHEAP and the beach is the same no matter where you stay.

Best choice, I think, if you're going to Cancun for what it's known for - massive drunken partying!

“worst holiday of all time”

I am not a person to complain easily but I booked this holiday based on the information in the brochure. What it said in the brochure and what you actually get are two totally different things. Due to a hericane 9 months prevous to our holiday there was only a third of the hotel up and running without any entertainment, poor choice of food and poor food, no consideration for kids. The bar was three uneven tables pushed together and I could go on and on. If we had paid £1000 for a cheap and chearful holiday then i would of though fair enough but we paid £3000. All I wanted was value for money. If you want to book this holiday then I would try and find out exactley what state the hotel is in. If it's got the facilities as advertised in the brochure then it should be value for money but I would be really surprised if it is. There was a lot of work to be done. The choice is yours!!!

“Best Vacation EVER!!!!”

Ok so we went into this vacation a little sceptical because of all of the reviews we had read that said this place was absolutely terrible but the minute we got there our thoughts changed tremedously! They gave a basement room the first night but we went back in the morning and asked for a room with a beach view and they moved us right away. The pool was amazing and everyday they would set up a volleyball net and we would play tequilla volleyball with the staff. They even had a little salsa lesson and some contests by the pool a few days, and if you're bored the slide is loads of fun! There wasn't any nightly entertainment because the hurricane desrtroyed two-thirds of the hotel but it was fine with us because our travel agent had warned us ahead of time. If you are looking to go to clubs at night jimmy is the man to see, he will get you the vip treatment and take the group to a different club everynight and watch out for those who are younger also. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and so helpful. Our rooms were always clean and if you ask for extra towels and tip them daily they will deliver, no problem. The only bad part about this hotle would have to be the food, it wasn't the greatest but it is buffet style so you can always fin something you'll like and you should definitely fill up at lunch because that is when they serve the best food.
