“Great Location”

Ambiance Villas

Just returning from a week stay at the Ambiance. Everything was wonderful. We had no problems with the cleaning staff or front desk, everyone was always willing to help and always had a smile on their face.
The room was very big and the air conditioning was wonderful (after a long day in the hot sun). The only small compliant I would have with the room is they don't leave any coffee or filters even though their is a coffee maker in the room. I would recommend bringing some from home or buying in Mexico if you like Mexican coffee, it takes cone filters. Also for the room I would recommend getting a 20L jug of water. You can order from the front desk for $3
The beach was awesome, no waves and great for swimming. We went to the other side of the hotel zone one day and the waves were so big they knocked you over in 1 foot of water. You could rent seadoos at the beach for $40 US. There are not many vendors on the beach to bother you which was nice, however, the mango man was always a welcome site. Nice fresh mango's for $3 for a package.
The food was pretty expensive at the beach bar, chicken sandwich and fries was $7. I had my two teenage boys with me who like to eat so this wasn't the most economical way to feed them. The boys found a little restraunt/bar about a 5 minute walk towards the hotel zone. It was called the Hog's Breath and they had an all you can eat for $7 each, and the beer is always 2 for 1, so $1.50 each. The owner Alex and the waiter Caismara were awesome, since we were regulars, by the end of the week whenever we came they would sit at the table with us and answer all the boys questions about Mexico and their culture, they learned alot and was a great experience for them.
The hotel internet was down all week which the boys were going through computer withdrawl but we found an internet cafe in the charocol plaza which was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. On the second floor in the hallway you could go on the computer for $1.50 for 20 minutes. This became a regular daily stop.
Pizza hut is a rip off, $21 for a "large" pizza which was 10 slices, the boys could eat one of these themselves they were so small. If you want pizza Domino's is the way to go, $23 for a party size, which was probably double the size of the pizza hut one
Overall it was a great hotel, nice beach, close to the action (we never took a taxi the entire time in Cancun) and nice accomodations, I would defintely recommend staying here if this is your type of vacation.

“Great place, very happy here.”

What a lovely place to stay. Walking distance to restaurants and night life, the best beach we saw on the strip, great clean rooms, lovely staff. We could find no fault. Great value for money it would be hard to find something to dislike...and I am fussy, think 5* with a 3 1/2* budget. We were surprised when we went for a walk along the beach, we had the best beach (and coming from Australia we know what is a good beach). The big expensive places had built right to the water edges so there was no beach. Shopping, eating, beach everything was so close, we couldn't have been happier. Free secure parking, spacious clean modern room , the only small gripe was I could get an iron but no ironing board...

This was our 2nd stay at Ambiance Villas in 5 years. We came back for the great beach and very calm water. There's no surf here, making these waters very swimmable.

We booked through Worryfree Travel and have used them before without any problems. When we checked in at the AV, they had no record of our reservation and the clerk told us that they were overbooked. Well, we called Wf's local rep, Trafictours, and they worked on our behalf to get the reservation straightened out. We weren't too worried because we figured that Worryfree would get us a room somewhere. So we went to the hotel restaurant for lunch and wait until the room was ready at 3:00. When we get back to the front desk, they offer us an upgrade to a one bedroom suite for our inconvenience. Nice. We had originally booked a single room and the upgrade gave us more than double the space with a full kitchen and an extra sink in the bedroom dressing area. The full refrigerator was great to have for making ice and drinks.

Housekeeping service was great. Fresh towels everyday and the room was picked up after us, even when we rearranged some of the furniture.

Our room on the 3rd floor faced the main road, noisy Kukulcan Blvd. But since we always bring ear plugs when we travel, the traffic noise was not a problem when sleeping. Be aware that there are no elevators.

“loved it!!!!”

stayed for two weeks with a friend.
our standard room consisted of two giant double beds, fantastic views of the pool and sea, private terrace.
location was great, could walk down in a few minutes during the day, taxi rank out side for night time, when its harder to walk in the high shoes.
for more serious shopping, the bus stop is outside which can bring u to all the shopping centres.
only fault i could find was no fridge in the standard rooms, then again the a/c was so good, our drinks stayed cool the whole time.
break fast was bit expensive in the hotel if you are not all inclusive.

“Great Stay - would stay again”

My fiance and I just spent 5 nights at Ambiance Villas and we would definitely go back. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen. The rooms were adequate, very clean, and extremely roomy. Breakfast was included and was much better than I expected when I heard "continental breakfast." There were (very tasty) pancakes, french toast, sausage, made-to-order omelettes, and fresh fruits. The staff was nice and helpful. Javier, the tour coordinator, is definitely the man to see if you want to arrange anything or just have questions. If you are planning on going anywhere, let him know - he has many discount tickets or coupons for free appetizers. The best part of the hotel is the beach - it's absolutely the best beach in all of the Hotel Zone. I walked up and down the beach and some hotels had very tiny, rocky beaches. Ours was much better - and not very crowded at all. There were plenty of chairs and free beach towels. I will definitely stay again.
