“great family hotel”

Royal Caribbean

4 of 5 stars
lexington
Apr 5, 2008

There really isn't much bad to say about the Royal Hotels. It was perfect for families, the food was great and the rooms very clean. That said, the time share pitch was more than I wanted to deal with. You are assigned a concierge who really is trying to sell you a unit. Ours ignored us when he figured out we weren't interested. This was good because he bugged me, but bad becasue we were on our own for reservations. The only other negative, the beds were very uncomfortable and the airconditioner loud. I didn't sleep well. The beach was pretty but too rocky for little kids to swim safely. Laurie

“Excellent Hotel”

Royal Caribbean

My husband and I went to the Royal Caribbean in January 08 with his brother and new wife . I didn't know what to expect, but let me tell you this resort is a wonderful place! The view from our hotel room was breath taking. The ocean was gorgeous and the view of Nichupte' Bay from our front was just as lovely. I highly recommend this resort to people of all ages. The restaurant, Tradewinds, was nice. Great food and service and what was really nice... we could go to the Royal Mayan and Islander which were on each side of the Caribbean, as they are all in the Royal family. We went to Chitzen Itza for a day trip and the service from the travel agency Thomas Moore, was great! I would advise anyone that has any interest at all in the Mayan culture to visit Chitzen Itza...it was an awesome sight!
The weather was beautiful also...we came from about -20 degrees below zero, so the 80's were heaven! Yes, we are from Wisconsin!!! We even got to see our beloved Green Bay Packers play in the championship game. Being at the Caribbean, made their loss a little easier to take!!
The staff at the Royal Caribbean was wonderful...from the front desk staff to our maid, Marguerita, who kept our room spotless, my experience was a wonderful one and I can't wait to return, as they say when you arrive, "Welcome Home".

“Wonderful Spring Break Vacation!”

Royal Caribbean

Everything was perfect at the Royal Caribbean Resort for our week-long Spring Break vacation. If you stay here, you will LOVE it! The villas were immaculate and contained everything you need to have a perfect vacation. There was plenty of room, comfortable beds, beautiful views, and this property is convenient to everything.
We traded our time share property through Interval International for a villa here. We were not disappointed in anything. The beach, the pools, the restaurants, the Royal properties next door, the free shuttle to the Royal Sands...everything was wonderful.
If you are lucky enough to stay here, you will be amazed at the cleanliness of your villa and the grounds. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. You can stay in and cook in your full kitchen, eat on the balcony overlooking the azure sea, or go downstairs to a comfortable restaurant. The grocery store and shops on-site made everything very convenient.
If you get the chance to stay at the Royal Caribbean a week, don't pass it up. It is a little piece of Heaven here on Earth!

“Wonderful Family Vacation”

Royal Caribbean

Stayed in Cancun with my husband, 3 kids, and my parents. Wonderful family resort. Super clean, large spacious villas, and extremely friendly staff. Royal Carribean is right in the middle of Royal Mayan and Royal Islander, so you can dine and swim at all 3 resorts simply by walking through the interconnected hallways. We had a beautiful view, lovely beach area. No wild parties at this resort...very calm and relaxing.

“Royal Resorts -- OUTSTANDING”

Royal Caribbean

Feb 26, 2008

This is one of the older Royal Resorts in Cancun. You would only know that by seeing the other Royal Resorts in the area. The place is great. Unbeleivable service. It has got to be one of the cleanest places you will ever stay at.

We had a beautiful ocean view, which can be good or bad. To my wife and kids it was great, to me, I found that the water was rough so you could hear the waves crashing all night long.
Speaking about the water there....When we arrived, the beach had many boulders of rock along the beach and was too rough to swim....2 days later, the rocks were covered by sand and the water was calm enough to swim in. Be careful of the undertow as it is very strong.

Stay at any of the Royal Resorts and you will not be dissapointed.
