Upon arrival Tracey greeted us with an ice cold Tecate beer. Not bad for a start! Dan, the owner of the hotel, was in California and was slated to return the following evening. After we finished our beverages, Tracey proceeded to take us to our room. The room was spacious and extremely tastefully decorated. In addition, all appliances were new and worked perfectly. I consider the excellent water pressure in the shower to be a value added bonus. I believe the rooms reflect Dan’s traveling experiences. He took all of the good aspects of the many hotels he has stayed in, and married their features to his aesthetic vision.
The following morning, we awoke to experience a crystal clear pool directly outside our door. The pool seemed to beg for occupants and my wife accommodated. My wife and I are both animal lovers so it was an extra treat to be greeted by the resident dog and cat on the second day of our stay. On occasion, the cat would sleep on its back, which is certainly worth a camera shot. Dan returned that evening with obvious jet lag, but he was a gracious host in regards to informing us of things to do on the island as well as things not to do. This proved to be invaluable information.
Both Tracey and Dan are bilingual which speeds up the process as far as making arrangements for tours, etc. By the way, Tracey operates a parasailing business and the fees are less expensive than in the U.S. My wife could not resist, and claimed that she had an incredible experience. My experience, however, was only a vicarious one.
If you are looking for relaxing and casual accommodations without the pressure of time share B.S. or being told what to eat and when to eat (all inclusive) this is the place for you to be in Cozumel. Everything is a short cab ride away, which ranges from 3 to 5 dollars.
Dan has built his dream, come experience it, you won’t regret it. My many thanks to Dan, Tracey, and Adolfo.
