Villas Hi Na Ha on Isla Mujeres, near Cancun, Mexico. We spent a very pleasant week at Villas Hi Na Ha at the end of January 2004. The villa faced the sea with a balcony for each of the two second-floor bedrooms, and another perched on the roof for watching the sun set over Cancun.
It was spacious, clean and well-furnished. The kitchen was equipped with a fridge, stove, coffee maker and double sink. Everything we requested in the way of dishes and utensils was provided promptly. The villas appear to be at least 10-15 years old and show some wear but have been well maintained. The outstanding feature of the Villas Hi Na Ha was the attentive service provided by the manager Frank Heredia. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him each morning at breakfast on the beach. Frank also helped us arrange transport for three day trips, all of which went smoothly, and he provided friendly accurate advice on places to eat and sites to see on the island. The other staff were a housekeeper and gardener. Housekeeping consisted of daily cleaning, bed making and fresh towels, a service which was always provided promptly and efficiently, with a smile. The gardens were especially well maintained, and watching the hummingbirds visit the many flowers around the small swimming pool was a delightful aspect of our stay. We were able to swim safely right from the beach, over a sandy sea grass covered bottom. Villas Hi Na Ha is a delightful spot for a comfortable, quiet Carribean holiday. We hope to visit again soon.
