“Love it, love it, love it!”

Casa Lucia Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Williamsburg, Virginia
Jul 18, 2008

We absolutely loved this hotel. The architecture of the place is lovely - it reminded me very much of the grand homes in Charleston, South Carolina. The guest rooms are very large and absolutely gorgeous. We wanted to feel like we had experienced Mexico, so we steered clear of resorts. This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for.

The staff and service were superb. Francisco was our breakfast waiter and he was a complete delight. He gave us tips on shopping, dining, sightseeing - the works. The hotel restaurant is very good, but there are lots of other places within walking distance.

Driving in downtown Merida is not for the faint of heart due to the very narrow streets and multitude of cars, bikes, motorcycles and people. All the streets are one way, but you get used to it quickly. It was a great relief, however, to find the Casa Lucia and to be able to pull into a private, roomy parking lot. I don't know where we would have parked, otherwise.

The Hotel Casa Lucia was my favorite hotel in Mexico. I would recomm end it to everyone!

“A Gem In Merida!!!”

Casa Lucia Hotel

5 of 5 stars

Casa Lucia is a gem in Merida

The suite was immaculately clean and well appointed.
The hotel and restaurant staff was knowledgeable, friendly! and always at our disposal.
Isaac the hotel manager was outstandingly courteous taking care to all our needs.
The on-site Restaurant offered delicious and inexpensive international cuisine.
The Cesar salad, fresh home made pizza, Chocinita pibil, Shrimp a la linguini, illy coffee, were some of our favorite items from the menu.
In fact everything we ate at the restaurant was a world class delicacy.
Location couldn't have been better for us.
The hotel is wonderfully situated facing one of the main public parks offering daily cultural activities sponsored by the local government.
Merida most notable cultural sites are within a few blocks walking distance from the hotel.
In fact the hotel is adjoined with a massive church which grace the hotel courtyard view.
The maitre'd is conditioned to take guests on a tour of Merida (we have not had the time to take advantage of such but we would have if time permitted)
Parking is included and available next door.
We had (well worth it) 4 consecutive massages in our suite from the on-site massage therapist at 550 pesos each.
Nectar, Trotters, Ayumhaa, Almendras (could be misspelled) restaurants were other great recommendations we received from Isaac and the hotel owner.
Great Vacation!!!
Big Thumbs up!!!!

“Excellent stay”

Casa Lucia Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Roanoke, Virginia
Mar 23, 2008

We stayed 2 nights in March 2008. We loved this hotel, the ambiance at night by the pool with all the lights, the service, everything made it for a perfect stay.
One suggestion: ask to stay in the newer part of the hotel. We were first taken to room #1, it was old and we didn't like it. We ask to stay near the pool and the new rooms are great.
We ate in the restaurant (it was very good).
We also ate in Villa Maria, we loved the atmosphere there.
We recommend that you visit Merida on a Sunday. They have "family Sundays" with music in the streets, couples dancing everywhere...it's lovely to watch those older couples dancing tango. Merida was one of our best souvenir of Yucatan.

“My favorite pick in Merida”

Casa Lucia Hotel

Cancun
Mar 4, 2008

This is my absolute favorite in Merida! Due to living in Cancun I like to take week end getways in Merida and I mus't say out of all of the hotels I have tried in beautiful Merida this is the best I have been in so far!

The hotel is located a few blocks from the city's main plaza and you will surely enjoy the short walk through it's colonial streets to explore the city center!

The hotel is housed in a nice colonial architecture and offers beautiful spacious rooms all facing the back garden of the resort which features a serene lush setting with a nice refreshing pool in the middle!

Absolutely loved the room, very clean, spacious, nice furniture, nice big bathroom and very, very friendly staff!

Will come back, that's for sure

P.D. One odd thing was that one day we went downstairs for breakfast and as we returned to our room the water was running on full steam in our bathroom and the light was on!

We had switched off lights and we knew for sure we did not leave the water on, in fact we had showered way earlier and had been sitting in the bedroom for a while before leaving.

We enquiered at the reception if the cleaning staff left the water on by any chance but we were told the cleaning lady had yet to arrive and noone had been in our room but us.

VERY WEIRD!!! If not creepy!

“Great place, would recommend to everyone”

Casa Lucia Hotel

Montréal, Québec
Jan 9, 2008

I booked this hotel expecting the best hotel of Merida, and it probably was. The valet was extra kind, same with the frontdesk and the made. They were probably the kindest people we met in Merida =). We just had one morning breakfast there and we went out for mostly all the meals, there is plenty of amazing restaurant around the place.

The room was just perfect, really simple, elegant, comfortable and nicely decorated !
