I just stayed at the Carribean Hotel and I want to let you all know that the service was super and the location of this hotel is amazing. It is right on the 5th avenue and 1 block from the best beach in Playa del Carmen. The hotel has great working air conditioners in the room and cable TV.. Excellent maid service everyday with nice decorations left on our bed daily. The hotel is not luxurious but has everything one needs for the short time spent in the room. There is also a super coffee shop and a taco restaurant just below the hotel.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that Caribbean Paradise is a great little hotel!!! They actually double-booked but we got to stay in another hotel on 5th avena and 6th calle. It is called the Hotel Delfin. Wonderful there too!! Great time had by all.

Just came back from 2 weeks of holiday in playa del carmen/hotel caribbean paradise. This hotel does not offer luxery, but it is a nice, clean and safe place to stay at. Our room was cleaned every day, and there are locks at the door to the balcony and at the window. The location at 5th av. is perfect, as the beach and entertainment are right in front of your door. Staff is very friendly, too. As another guest already posted: if you like to be pampered, this really is the wrong place for you, but it is a nice hotel for a casual holiday.

I've visited Caribbean Paradise recently in Playa del Carmen. Strongly I recommend not to book this hotel because what the people show in the website is not true, this hotel even doesn't reach 1 star level or something around that rating. I had a lot of trouble, the rooms are not comfortable, the bathroom small, the sliding doors from the balcony are broken by burglary (NO LOCKS!!!) at least 5 rooms were like that and I couldn't trust this place anymore. The room I was assigned to was not clean even the towels and trash from priveous guest were still in the room. The breakfast was terrible only toast and jam and no other choices if you want to enjoy other things, you can't call this CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, the small place where you eat is full of bees because they don't clean the tables from the jam cups even during the afternoon the breakfast trash is still on everytable including the bees and flies. The kitchen is dirty. The television signal is not good, and the room have old furniture. All the services the websites show is not true about this hotel. I don't know what the owner is doing with the profit of the high rates??? But not investing in quality. Because they are very high for this crap hotel, these people should feel ashamed to charge those rates because they don't offer anything good in this place. You better think twice before booking any room in this hotel. And look for something better.
