“Some things we loved, others not so much...”

What we liked:
The location is amazing. Every room faces the ocean and has a wonderful balcony with double glass doors that open to the beach.
The beach in front of the hotel is great for laying out and swimming.
The hotel restaurant/bar has great drinks and food and there are many other places to eat nearby. It is a hotel, not a cabana, so there are minimal (or none for us) critters and bugs walking in the room. There is a/c and a fan in the room.
What we didn't like:
Upon check-in, we were told that we did not have a reservation with the hotel (which we were told was fully booked) , even though I had several online conversations with who I presumed to be the owner. Thankfully, I had a copy of the confirmation email from him which forced the person at the desk to move some things around and come up with a room for us. The room itself was ok. Honestly, it looked pretty sloppy, i.e. paint splattered everywhere from the time the room was painted, the bathroom looked like it belonged at a gas station. The staff were pleasant but did not go out of their way to help.
Overall, we were somewhat happy with the place because of the unbelievable location and decent room but I think that next time we would look somewhere else for that kind of money. I think that there is so much competition in Tulum and Parayso should focus a bit more on details.

overhaul very nice.
Restaurant – excellent. Best Ceviche on the coast. Not open for breakfast though so we would take a short walk over to AnayJose or some other place…
Rooms – fresh clean tastefully decorated. Good cleaning service and laundry service. Kitchens are not fully stacked so if buying own food get plastic utensils, plates.
Pool – clean and warm in the evenings. a pleasure
Beach – it’s an excellent portion of the beach
Staff - :) pleasant. Very forgetful. But pleasant. Get things in writing if you can…

We stayed at Hotel Parayso just after the new years break. the staff was great, the food was excellent! we spent our time in lounger chairs at the beach. there is a seaside restaurant that served us hand a foot. fresh towels, drinks, food. there was also a movie playing, godfather, during the evening.
the kids absolutely enjoyed it. the owners will great to us and would recommend it to families or couples!

We stayed at the Parayso for four nights and we really liked it, we had a great time. The rooms were very clean, they were cleaned daily and with fresh towels. The owners gave us a really nice welcome and were very helpful throughout our stay. I can recommend the restaurant.
We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant twice, the food was really jummy. There is a diving and snorkling shop next door where you can book tours, and there are many restaurants located on the beach closeby. Our room had a balcony with great oceanview, all rooms have an ocean view as a matter of fact. I thought the rooms were really nicely decorated. From the outside and the inside the hotel looked very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

My better half and i were at the hotel during a wedding. we were welcomed by the owners, monica and graham and they were fantastic hosts! they helped us in everyway they could. the rooms were clean, spacious and with nice ocean views. they also have a restaurant and bar where we spent alot of our time!!

the moon was out alot of times and made the stars bright evenmore. way to go guys you have a wonderful little hotel...
