I just return a couple of days ago from Mexico. I went to Playa Del Carmen and Tulum... Aaaahhh.... Tulum!! I can die now because I saw paradise! What an amazing place! There is no big hotel around, just small ones! There's nearly nobody on the amazing beach. You can walk for miles!! I ran every morning and I went down south of the beach and at one point... I was alone. Great! No traffic. You can just relax and have fun!
OmTulum is a small place of less than a dozen of rooms. It's a beautifull place with really nice staff. I ate there the 2 days that I was there and the food was amazingly good! The view from the resto is superbe! The rooms where beautifull, confortable beds and really clean. I slept like a baby with the sound of the ocean near by. It's a really quiet place but if you want to party, there's small hotel close where you can dance. Unless you are reaaally tired and want to read dozen of books, 2 up to 4 days is enough for me since I was there alone.
I would DEFINITLY go back!!!

This is a brand new eco hotel on the beach in Tulum. I went there for New Years this year with a big crew, sight unseen, and was properly suprised. This place is fantastic. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Go for the fish steak. Seriously. You'll thank me.

Massimo - who runs the place - is incredibly accomodating, and Fidel at the beach bar made this stay particularly memorable. Rooms are clean, breand new, comfortable. And there's wireless internet at the bar. Really helpful.

I'd reccommend this place. Put it this way: the people I went with have been to Tulum many, many times in the past 5 years. And they're going to keep staying at Om Tulum.
