We were a team of 16 people on an expedition in the copper canyon. It was very hard to reach the hot springs because we trekked from a weird direction -- it involved crossing a river and accidentally putting my hand in a cactus!! When we reached the hot springs we had been trekking for about 6 hours, so as soon as i got there i went for a swift dip.
I didn't expect the place to look so man made, but it didn't look tacky. And the water was lovely! There were about three pools, and the water was clean and warm.
We camped beside the springs. Unfortunately there was a lot of rubbish nearby.
In the morning, a lot of the locals came down to the pools and the atmosphere was fun and lively. All in all I'm really glad i saw the hot springs! i recommend it.
