We stayed at this hotel at Easter (2004). The $125/night price quoted over the phone turned into about $175/night at checkout after the administration added 25% for a child over 12 and then added the 17% taxes on top of the whole thing. At that rate, the hotel was definitely overpriced. On the plus side, the location is good and the hotel layout is interesting: we shared a little patio with two other rooms; it had a little table and chairs and one of those swinging couches. Up where the jacuzzi is, there is another terrace with tables and a nice view. On the down side, every day they kicked us out of the jacuzzi between 6 & 7pm on the pretext of having to add chemicals. While we were there, however, the jacuzzi was never cleaned and gradually turned a murky, greenish color. This hotel has pluses and minuses. At a better price, I might give it a better rating, but service wasn't wonderful either in the hotel or restaurant either and next time I think I will look for a different hotel. Re the restaurant: we didn't find it so outstanding, and if you are in San Miguel it's much more fun to eat in town where all the atmosphere is than in the hotel. Note: if you have a handicap, this hotel is not for you. It is vertical. There are steps to get everywhere. But, then, San Miguel itself is vertical and cobbled.
