“Wonderful!”

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

You can't go wrong staying here! What a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles from everyone and the smell of lavender and vanilla flowing through the air.
You can go to the presentation they offer and save money on beach activities, massages, food and drink. The only misleading thing is the length of the presentation which was supposed to be 90 minutes and ended up being 3 hours. Needless to say, we didn't buy but we did get a free margarita and a nice tour.
We went snorkeling at Lover's Beach via water taxi (about $12 roundtrip). Not much else to do there but it is worth seeing.
Not much into the downtown craziness but did have fun shopping at the flea market which is located near dock 4 (same place you can take a wine/jazz cruise). Take a $10.00 taxi ride and you are there.
Had a great dinner at Fridas the first night there. Five star service!
Also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Pacifica Resort. Yummy!
Rooms were beautiful. Had a 1 bedroom with 2 full baths in Bldg. 18. Fun golf carts, great sky pool, nice, private beach!

Would definitely go back!

“Nice but not Great”

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

Overall nice & picturesque setting, however you should note:
1 The resort is 85% timeshare 15% hotel. I unfortunately sat through one of their sales presentations.
2 The beach is not swimmable. It is the Pacific Ocean and the waves are rough.
3 The resort is secluded from the rest of the town, so if you want to go out it takes a 10-15 minute cab ride.

Asian Traveler TX is correct, the safe, swimmable beaches in Los Cabos are Chileno, Santa Maria and Medano. Guests at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach are able to take a free shuttle to our two Medano Beach properties and use all of their facilities as if they were registered guests, and swim safely at that beach.

Sunset Beach is a short drive or cab ride on quiet city streets into downtown Cabo San Lucas. However it is much closer than any hotel on the Corredor and it is not necessary to use the crowded, and sometimes dangerous highway.

“Outstanding place to have a wedding”

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

5 of 5 stars
Phoenix, AZ

We were recently married at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach on May 31, 2008. It by far exceeded my expectations and my dream wedding came true. The hotel only books one wedding per day so the entire staff at the hotel are all focused on the wedding, the wedding party and the wedding guests. They had signs up the week before announcing our wedding to other guests. Laura Ortiz, the wedding coordinator, is awesome. She is very attentive to detail and worked extremely hard to make our day perfect. Ignacio was our head waiter and was at our sides serving us food and drinks during the entire night of the wedding. Enrique Morales took our pictures (you have to book a photographer through the wedding coordinator) and he was also great. I couldn't have picked a better photographer. His pictures are beautiful.

We had 45 guests travel down to Mexico for our wedding and the majority of them stayed at PB Sunset Beach. We were given so many compliments from our guests about the hotel, how they were treated, how beautiful the wedding was and just overall what a great place it was.

I know there are many great places to have a wedding in Cabo, but you won't be disappointed at Sunset Beach.

“Beautiful resort and service”

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

Jun 25, 2008

My husband and I have traveled a fair amount and have decided this is by far one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever seen. The service was wonderful and everyone was always polite. Physically the property was beautiful. Eventhough it is very hilly, they make it very convenient for people to get where they need to go without killing yourself. The final phases of construction are still underway but you didn't even notice. Despite the unusual winds, it was very, very enjoyable! We'll be back:)

“Truly Amazing - Can't wait to visit again!”

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

5 of 5 stars
Indiana
Jun 21, 2008
4/4 found this review helpful

My fiancé and I stayed in the resort with my parents in Feb. 2008 through a time share they have with Pueblo. I’ve never stayed at resort as nice as this one. It is now the benchmark for my honeymoon but I know it will be hard to find close in comparison.

The service is unbeatable, food was AMAZING and a most of the restaurants on the property were surprising very reasonable. I’m going to highlight a few of my favorite features and note why some people may think they are negative aspects. It really is a wonderful property and I can’t wait to go back!

Away from the bustle of town – about 5-10 minute drive from the center of town but the resort has a free shuttle that runs to and from town all day (stops around 10-11pm). Sunset Beach is up on a hill around the west side of the city which allows for privacy during the day but the option to go into town at night.

Large resort with lots of pools – even though the resort is huge, you never really noticed it or felt like it was overcrowded. The seven different pools allowed for people to spread out as well. No, you can’t swim on the beach because of the rip tides but we spent every day at the GORGEOUS sky pool and never missed the beach! Yes, we stayed at the top of the resort too and there was a breeze but just enough to keep you cool (remember I was there in Feb.). The service and staff at the pool bar was unreal!

Built into a cliff – Since the resort is so big and literally built into the side of a cliff, you have to rely on the staff picking you up in golf carts and taking you to the different locations (restaurants, pools, front desk, etc). We walked up a hill to the pool everyday but my parents took the cart up – it depends on your health/activity level but it really makes it unique. Yes, sometimes you have to wait 5-10 minutes for a cart to come but you’re on a vacation…relax!

Luxury rooms – it’s a shame we didn’t spend more time in them!

The town of Cabo is an overall excellent place to visit. There is something for everyone… families, honeymooners, singles, teenagers, older adults etc. We would walk around at night and feel very safe. Must try restaurnts: Mi Casa and The Office!

Sunset beach would be an excellent place for all couples, honeymooners, older adults, and even families. The Pueblo Bonito Rose is the sister resort that is in the center of town. It seemed to cater a bit more to families/kids with the activities they offered. The great thing is you can use the Rose’s pool/amities even if you stay at Sunset Beach!
