We stayed at the Westin Los Cabos Feb. 16-23 and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had a great view of the beach and pool areas. Dec. through April is whale season and it is amazing how close they come to shore. You can sit at the pool or on the beach and see them surfacing and spouting.
The staff was excellent. The front desk people , the waitstaff and the housekeeping were all very nice and efficient. We have traveled around Mexico and all over the Caribbean and we always stay at Westin or Hyatt quality hotels and the servce at this hotel was probably the best we have experienced.
The only negative... (and a minor one for us) The hotel is about 20 minutes from Cabo San Lucas, a $28 cab drive each way(rent a car instead)If you are like most ,you will probably be going there quite often.
Remember , this is a desert climate, so it gets cool at night. It's not out of the ordinary for temps to drop from 78 to 55 at night, (yes 55 that's not a typo)So bring appropriate clothing.
If you plan on taking a taxi from the airport, the fee is $28- $31 depending on how many in your party.Make sure you discuss this with the driver beforehand. I've heard of people getting ripped off and paying up to $60 .
Overall, the Westin Los Cabos is a very well run hotel with a friendly staff who take good care of their guests.

I would sleep in a pile of my own filth, but my wife is a bit of a hotel snob and she was impressed. We stayed here for a week in February and loved it. Great weather, good food. Best trip - San Jose De Cabo and when you go there, eat at Local Eight. Best meal we had. The food at the poolside bar was good but the only complaint was the food at the "gormet" restuarant at the Westin was just OK. All in all, a great time and we highly recommend this hotel.

If you stay at the Westin in Los Cabos and you are a sashimi lover, you must try the sushi bar on the 5th floor. The sashimi is the freshest I'd ever had! It just literally melts in your mouth and tastes Iike it was caught just moments ago. I had no idea some of the fish could taste the way it did. Sushi in Hawaii doesn't even compare. It must be the very cold water.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Westin for 5 days. Everything was amazing! The hotel was beautiful, service was excellent. Everyone did a great job recommending places to go and eat. The weather was gorgeous. Drinks were great and our bill was very fair for all the food and drinks we ordered on the beach, in restaurants, and the room service. Make sure you check out 2 restaurants: The Office and Mi Casa. Also, get a water taxi to take you to Lovers Beach.

Not sure what else to say b/c it was perfect and not sure about other reveiws that seemed to have a bad experience.

We are in our mid 20's so if you want more people in that age range, stay closer to d'town Cabo, but we like the quiet that comes w/ an older crowd, so we were just fine!

Overall, the Westin was paradise:)
