I stayed here for one night before moving to the Hilton next door. This hotel has some good qualities, it is a large resort with dramatic views of the ocean. However, it is showing its age a bit. When we were here, the main pool and one of the restaurants were closed for renovations. The largest pool being closed was definately a drawback. The beach is nice and there is waiter service on the beach but the water is much too rough to swim in.

The rooms themselves are beautiful with great ocean views. There is a large walk-in shower in addition to a tub. I used the spa here and both my husband and I had a great massage.

The layout of the resort is a bit complicated, and it is located on a steep hill/cliff so there are a lot of stairs and ramps.

If you are looking in this price range, you should seriously consider the Los Cabos Hilton.

My wife and I just returned from a five night stay at the Westin - 5/19 to 5/24. Overall, our stay at the Westin was fantastic. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the hotel staff and given a free margarita!!. The pictures do not do this resort justice. The grounds are well kept and our room was beautiful. There were guys everywhere working on maintaining the beauty of the resort and the views are stunning. The pools and beach area were not crowded but they will not allow you to swim in the ocean because the water is rough. The only negative we found was the food and drink prices were double the normal rate. I don't mind paying $8 or so for a cheeseburger while on vacation but $16 - give me a break. SInce you are twenty miles from Cabo San Lucas they really have you. Here's a tip - order room service, it's cheaper even with the 15% service charge. I ordered a turkey sandwich at one of the restaurants and paid $16.50. The exact same sandwich is only $12.00 if ordered from the room service menu - go figure. The best bet is to take the shuttle into town and eat on the Marina or at one of the many restaurants - it's cheaper and the food is much better!!

Beautiful hotel, but it's not for those of you looking to jump into the water. The waves are too strong and the beach sand is coarse enough to make the bottoms of your feet hurt. There's a sign that prohibits people from going into the water... The pool is your only option for swimming unless you take the shuttle to downtown Cabos (there's an $13 per person one way fee) and then take a boat to the beach at the arch. They also try to sell you the timeshare homes on the property. It wasted half of a day, but they gave us a bunch of free activities.

Lovely resort on the beach. very helpful staff. our room was very clean. Fair selection of restaurants on site.

only a couple of glitches:
Getting to the room required negotiating a maze-like path and a couple of elevators.
While the water pressure in the shower was adequate, the water temperature resembled a sine-wave and required continuous adjustment of the hot/cold faucets.
