I loved this place! We think we had the best room there. It was a suite and had an incredible view with a little patio. It was close to the pool with a view of the Sea of Cortez. At first I thought it was going to be one of those huge resorts that I hate - where it takes 10 minutes just to get to the beach from your room or even longer to get to your car. It wasn't. It is big but not huge and feels just right. The service is wonderful. Everyone that worked there made us feel special.

Although it is hot as blazes in August my husband said that it was the perfect time to go because the golf courses are not crowded. The Hilton had a special with one of the courses - $150 for all you can play and he was in heaven. Said every shot had an incredible view.

My daughter and I went kayaking - booked it thru the Hilton and got a pretty good rate. It was awesome!

This resort is absolutely beautiful! It has a very intimate setting despite its size. The stucco and wrought iron details work well with its location.

I just can't say enough about how beautiful the pool area is. The pool water and patio are on the same level so that the pool almost looks like a mirage. The service at the pool is also terrific, even the food and drinks by the pool are great (I recommend the shrimp tacos).

The beach is very nice as well, and the hotel provides chairs and umbrellas at the beach. I did see people swimming in the ocean at this hotel, there is a small break just off-shore, but the water would probably be too rough for children. There are jetskis for rent on the beach, but I don't believe this is run by the hotel.

The room is fabulous and features a private balcony. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a tub. The bed is very comfortable.

There is a deli/storelocated here on the pool level where you can buy snacks/sandwiches/drinks/beer/supplies. There is also a second pool area which is much less crowded and features a seperate kiddie pool, but most people were at the main pool.

The hotel provides a shuttle into San Joe and Cabo San Lucas for $15. We were told a taxi is $25.

There is a spa here but I didn't use it. There are tennis courts and a fitness center as well.

Overall, this is a terrific place to come and unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend it.

We returned 2 days ago from a five day stay at this Hilton and are already anxious to return. As Hilton Honors members for many years, we have traveled extensively and have stayed in Hilton worldwide -- this hotel is absolutely top class and top of the line for Hilton and also top class period. Everything about our stay was superb. We took all of our adult children (there were 8 of us in total). Our timing was perfect -- the hotel was not crowded and we were given rooms that were basically adjacent to one another. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, very clean and as described were directly on the ocean (deluxe ocean view). We slept with our doors open to the heavenly sound of the waves. Even the turn down service provided special touches (your request for a sweet or salty snack is noted).
We had originally planned to use the shuttle service to eat the majority of our meals in town because of the cost of feeding so many folks, but we ended up eating at the property 3 out of the five days because it proved to be a good value when we added the cost of the shuttle or taxi into our plan. It also made for very relaxing days around the pool. (Pool was also not crowded while we were there, but we discovered that we liked the smaller, more private pool on the side).
We found the breakfast to be exceptional (though pricey if you are paying -- we had the perk of the Hilton Honor's breakfasts) and the service impeccable. We had the same waitress (Claudia) each day ,and she brought a personal touch and bright smile to our table. We loved the sushi at La Barq as well as the Baja burger and nachos at the other poolside restaurant. We also enjoyed the seafood at the mid-range restaurant.
Luis, the desk manager of the hotel was extremely accommodating and the concierge service very helpful.
I don't think we missed a single Happy Hour (drinks are discounted 50% and they are accompanied by nice complimentary appetizers) and would definitely return -- either with our adult children or as a couple. I would rate this resort as one of the best overall experiences of a lifetime....does that say enough?!!!

Upon arrival at the hotel we were offered a free welcome drink of lemonade, water, or a margarita. Nice surprise from the Hilton staff. Service in general was equivalent to the quality you would find at a Ritz or Four Seasons. We were escorted our room which had the most magnificent ocean view. It was tucked away in the front corner of the hotel and each night we had views of the various weddings going on on the Hilton grounds and we could hear the ocean sounds as we slept. Breakfast buffet was delicious and included a variety of both American breakfast food options as well as Mexican food options. My largest disappointment of the trip is that the beach is really not walkable without shoes. The sand is very coarse and rocky. However, the infinity pool was amazing and nicely simulates swimming in the ocean. The need to reserve your chair at the pool hours in advance was a bit frustrating. Poolside service was exceptional and the swim up bar was very convenient. We did not have a rental car during our stay and found no issues with taking cabs or the $15 per day per person shuttle into either Cabos.
