“Fabulous 5-star hotel”

Quinta Real Zacatecas

Where do I begin? This hotel was absolutely the best hotel I've ever visited. We arrived tired and frustrated from the bus station. The doormen ran to grab our bags and guide us to the check-in desk. We were greeted with a cold glass of white wine and a comfortable chair to relax in. We first caught glimpse of the bull ring and the outer courtyard which was phenomenal. Once we were checked in, the concierge gave us a quick tour of the hotel and showed us to our room which had already been prepared for our arrival. The bags met us there shortly after. The room was very large with modern decorating. We had a large window / walk-out balcony that looked out into a beautiful garden below with a fountain. The bathroom was stocked with every toiletry you could need and a wonderful soap/shampoo combo. The bathtub was huge and perfect for one (or two!) people to soak in. Of course there was a stocked mini-bar and television with a few English-speaking channels. The bedding was also five-star quality which made it easy to really get a good night's sleep.
The restaurant was so good we ate there every chance we had. The service was better than any service I've ever been able to afford in the U.S.
I enjoyed the business center where I was able to check & send email leisurely.
The bar was not only beautiful with great views, but the drinks/appetizers were delicious. Neither the restaurant nor the bar overcharged. They were both very reasonably priced.
I would be willing to make an entire vacation out of this hotel. Check the rates---they are much more affordable than posted!

This is one of my favorite hotels. If you happen to be anywhere in the area of Zacatecas this hotel is a must. It has authentic history, not some trashy imitation of it. The rooms are great, the service great. I stayed at this hotel some years ago and I will say that the rates have gone up significantly since then, however still worth it. SAFE TRAVELS - thedonk

“fantastic hotel”

Quinta Real Zacatecas is a very luxurious but not very expensive hotel. The hotel was built inside a bullring and it is next to the aqueduct. It has a business center, jewelery, bar and an excellent restaurant. The rooms are big, elegant and have jacuzzi.
Good location, it is in the limits of the historical center of Zacatecas and from there one can walk easily to some museums and to downtown. To go to the mine, to the cable car and to Guadalupe it is better to take a taxi.
It´s fantastic to stay in a hotel that is in itself part of the city atractions.

We stayed here one night in March 2004 and loved every minute. When I was planning our trip I saw rooms on expedia priced at about $150 I think. I now see that that would have been a bargain. I did not book a room soon enough and soon no rooms were available. Perhaps they limit the rooms on expedia because when we went there in person it did not look busy at all. We were quoted 2400 pesos (about 240 before taxes).
When we checked in the manager lowered the rate to 2100 and gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a sitting area. (Room 411) What a fantastic room. We had a view across the ring to the city above. The hotel is incredibly beautiful. We ate many meals here and the prices seemed no more expensive than other places that we ate in Guanajuato.
Please be sure to stop by to see this hotel and maybe have a meal or a drink in the very atmospheric bar. I thought the shops in the hotel had the nicest jewelry, etc. of any of the shops we saw in town. We also stayed a night at the Quinta Real in Aguascalientes when our flight back to L.A. was cancelled. That was another amazing hotel. I'd like to see the rest in their chain!

“Heaven on Earth”

This hotel is 5 star all the way, my husband and I stayed here as we traveled around central Mexico and we loved it so much that on our way back home, we had to stop again! It is so beautiful! I will absolutely never forget this hotel. We both agreed wholeheartedly, that we will return to this hotel again someday. We loved sitting in the small cove of the bar and drinking some of the local wines, I bought some beautiful sterling and onyx jewelry that was made nearby in the gift shop. The rooms are jmake you never want to leave and the breakfast buffets are just perfect. The robe that is in the room was so comfortable that I wouldn't take it off unless I had to, my husband laughed at me until he put it on then he understood why I didn't want to take it off, pure luxery!!! Do yourself a favor and buy their robes to take home, I didn't and I have regretted it for 7 years now.
