Although the Westin was tricky to find (make sure to have good directions before heading out), we were delighted with our stay at this hotel. From the complimentary fruity beverages at check-in...to the extensive (if not a bit pricey) breakfast buffet...we were pleased. Our rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable...providing down pillows and comforters and cable TV with several English language movie channels (subtitled of course).
The public areas were also very nice. If you happen to be there before, during, or after a major group event (like a wedding), the courtyard, which IMO is the hotel's most impressive feature, may be cluttered with canopies or canopy framing. I was unable to take the picture I wanted to because of this framing but finally got a partial shot of the courtyard while the staff was bringing the framing down the next morning.
During our time there we visited their restaurant for dinner (food was good, but service was lax), and for their breakfast buffet (with options of a continental style breakfast with fruits, breads, homemade jams and cereals or a more thorough warm meal that included eggs served several ways, chilaquiles, meats, and omelets and tortas made to order).
The hotel is a bit removed from the city's historic center (and even the closest major road), but if you've got good directions and are comfortable driving in Mexico, this shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Yeah, this is a nice place. It have a great feeling. It's a quiet, peacefully and warm hotel, maybe you find that employees are so quit and they move slow, but they are so nice... so be patientest.

Beautiful hotel! And the staff was fantastic. The hotel entrance/lobby was open and was very nice with a Spanish upscale look. The dinning room and bar was also very open and very colorful. The luxury room was great, especially the heavenly king size bed with the patio view and the Jacuzzi was very romantic. The $10 extra for the Jacuzzi in the room was well worth it. The business center, with two computers, was very nice and was supplied with complimentary water and snacks. The bell boy was very professional, provided escort to the room and provided very useful information. It was also nice that the hotel had valet and secure parking. Overall a fantastic stay, missed Shakira by two days, and would definitely stay there again. The only negative was that the on-line and hotel operator directions to the hotel left a lot to be desired, took me over an hour to fine it. I suggested that they add a more useful map and landmarks to their on-line page. First timers might consider following a taxi to the hotel.

Very nice hotel. Everyone I encountered was very nice. The rooms are very comfortable, espically the beds. From check in to check out everyone was far nicer than they are in the US. The food was very good. Menus were listed in Spanish and Engligh which was nice since I speak little Spanish. The menu had lots of options. I would stay here again without concern.
