“Great casas, great host”

It's no suprise Cliff is mentioned in these reviews. As the proprietor, his easy-going friendliness sets the tone. He was very helpful and accommodating. He even took us in his vehicle on a tour of a town 45 minutes away. We stayed in two of his lodgings during our 11-night stay: Casa de Gavin and Casa de Sarah. Both are spacious and well supplied with kitchen necessities, lovely bedding, bright colors and lots of decorative Mexican pottery. Kayaks and bicycles are available at no extra charge, and we often rode the bikes to the nearby secluded beach or in the opposite direction into the little town of Mulege.

We were charmed from the minute we saw this B&B with its flower-bedecked stone wall and quaint old gate. Its location is ideal - near the river road which leads quickly to the ocean in one direction and the friendly little town in the other direction. Our host, Cliff, took the time to give us a tour of the town and its environs, including a not-to-be-missed meal at Danny's. Cliff's laid-back friendliness and great advice added a special quality to what was already a most pleasant stay. We hope to return soon!

“Wonderful Trip to Mulege”

My husband and I were in Mulege and stayed at Clementine's for a week
in May of this year. Rather than a room in the B&B, the owner, Cliff Taylor put us in a lovely one bedroom house called La Casita. It couldn't have been a nicer vacation. The locals in Mulege were wonderful, very accommodating and most spoke enough English for us to be able to understand each other. The water is safe and drinkable,
the food and vegetables didn't make us sick, and the air was clean. Our little house was charming, had a wonderful bed, and had all the flavor of Mexico with the comforts of home. (Read hot showers and soft beds) The town was like a little oasis on a river with palm trees everywhere. It's an old fishing village and the fishermen are just down the river road from Clementine's on the way to the beach. Speaking of the beach, it begins just a few hundred yards down the river and the shelling is very good.

Cliff, the owner, was helpful with directions, fishing plans, restaurants, etc. He also had bicycles and kayaks available. He even put on a fish fry one night in honor of one of the neighbors that had
won a fishing tournament. Twenty five or so of us enjoyed his catch and some wonderful times. The B&B and houses are in a small enclave of Americans and Canadians that live there year round and some that just vacation there. They were all so friendly that we felt
very welcome. We highly recommend Clementine's and look forward to going back.

“Clementines is the Best!”

After arriving in Mulege, my husband and I looked at 6 recommended places to stay. Once we saw Clementines, we did not need to look any further. The B&B's location is one house away from the river. All of the rooms are very clean, well maintained and cheerfully decorated. There are four rooms built around a courtyard with a fully stocked kitchen, including a purified water and ice dispenser. Cliff, the proprietor met our every need. There is wireless internet available, but we did not bring our computer. So, Cliff let us use his computer any time we needed to check e-mail. In addition there is a washer and clothes line, and bikes and kayaks to use at no extra charge.

Clemintines also has for rent a two bedroom house directly on the river and a cottage that is a few places down from the river.

We loved staying at Clementines and would not consider staying at any other place!

From the moment we arrived at Clementine's in Mulege, we felt at home. Cliff's warm welcome and close attention to all the comforts one could want while on vacation were outstanding. We have traveled to Baja for many years and can honestly say that the accomodations this time were the best aside from having our own comfortably furnished home in Mulege. Ambiance and details in how it's all put together are not always present when staying in rentals, so the personal touch Cliff has put throughout is wonderful. We rented the whole thing and it was perfect for our family of five, with even some room to spare. After spending the days at the beautiful local beaches, it was a great place to unwind or have a little siesta before venturing out for something new.The bicycles and kayaks were a treat as well. Cliff even led us to a great spot to snorkel that we would not have found otherwise! Add to all of this a delicious fish fry, and demonstration on how to cook Pozole con Pollo and you have a week that you do not wish to end. Our experience there is definitely to be continued....
