My husband and I were in Mulege and stayed at Clementine's for a week
in May of this year. Rather than a room in the B&B, the owner, Cliff Taylor put us in a lovely one bedroom house called La Casita. It couldn't have been a nicer vacation. The locals in Mulege were wonderful, very accommodating and most spoke enough English for us to be able to understand each other. The water is safe and drinkable,
the food and vegetables didn't make us sick, and the air was clean. Our little house was charming, had a wonderful bed, and had all the flavor of Mexico with the comforts of home. (Read hot showers and soft beds) The town was like a little oasis on a river with palm trees everywhere. It's an old fishing village and the fishermen are just down the river road from Clementine's on the way to the beach. Speaking of the beach, it begins just a few hundred yards down the river and the shelling is very good.
Cliff, the owner, was helpful with directions, fishing plans, restaurants, etc. He also had bicycles and kayaks available. He even put on a fish fry one night in honor of one of the neighbors that had
won a fishing tournament. Twenty five or so of us enjoyed his catch and some wonderful times. The B&B and houses are in a small enclave of Americans and Canadians that live there year round and some that just vacation there. They were all so friendly that we felt
very welcome. We highly recommend Clementine's and look forward to going back.
