We arrived on sunday afternoon and the hotel was beautiful and the grounds were well kept. We were greeted by smiling faces waiting to help. We did have to wait for our rooms to be cleaned, but made our way out to the triton bar and had a drink and a snack of the best guacamole and chips! We were in rooms 7033/7032 and had a beautiful view of both the pool and ocean. The room was awesome and having 2 rooms was well worth it! We spent time during our stay at the pool. The 2 young hosts kept activities going all day! We played volleyball, bingo, music movie trivia and much more. There was a waitress constantly bringing us more drinks and even one day, passing out popsicles! yum! We ate at the buffets most of the time, but did have 2 wonderful meals at the outdoor restaurant that served the meat on the large swords and an even better dinner at the asian restaurant. It was nice to sit down and have someone wait on you, instead of the buffets. We ate very well all week and liked the food here better than other all inclusive resorts we have been to.
The only "con" I can think of is that you will need to put your key in a slot to keep your lights/ air/ hairdryer on while you are in the room. we had to learn that a day late! And this isn't that bad at all!
the beach was clean and there were plenty of chairs. There is a hut next to the resort that sells items and yes, there is a constant flow from there of people trying to sell you there items, but we just ignored them or said no, gracias! they just moved on.
I hope to go back soon to this resort. We had one of the best vacations we have ever had!

Don't miss this great place. The food, people, the resort, the beds, service, the golfing and the weather, combined to make this a very special week.
The Palace treated us royally, the sunset cruise was a blast.
We have travelled twice a year for the last 10 years, and have never met a more friendly and courtous staff, then at the palace.

“Beautiful in all respects”

The resort is about 1/2 hour north of "downtown" in Nuevo Vallarta, on a beautiful stretch of beach with great "reasonable" surf. No red flags like Cancun. The setting is beautiful, especially for those like me from Florida, mountains as a backdrop from every view except due west. The rooms were excellent, the food good to excellent, the tours were great, and our own excursions are very memorable. Some great golf courses, from El Tigre nearby to some up in the mountains. I haven't been to PV for about 20 years, and a highlight was the "City" tour, which went way south of the city to an authentic tequila "factory". A very nice trip, which I normally would not have taken. Do it!
We have been very happy with the Palace Resort all-inclusives, have done 5 so far, have 4 more booked over the next six months.
Try them, but do research carefully as to whether they have kids or not, comfortable sit-down balconies if you smoke only outdoors, and especially whether or not there is any REAL beach if beaches and salt water are your thing They are still suffering from erosion from the hurricane. Otherwise, the pools are great.
Have a banana monkey. Ohla. Nancy

“Unimpressed”

Vallarta Palace

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Vallarta Palace in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. We found that the rooms were very nice and the view was beautiful, but there was smells of sewage coming from the room and on the grounds by the pool. We found that there was constuction(jack hammering) waking us up a few times during the week. The buffet during the day was the same every day and the quality of food wasn`t very good. The resturaunts during the evening was very good and lots of different varieties. Overall for the amount of money we spent there, we are definatly going to research more and find a different place to stay next time.
