ServiceWe had three very comfy nights at the St Regis. So much so we missed breakfast every morning and stayed in bed - to be fair it was finished by 9am -perhaps a little early. But because of its great location we were a short walk from Gas Town and lots of great places to eat a late breakfast. Our room was small but cosy and the bathroom was clean. The staff were not the the most enthusiastic on our trip but they were happy to offer advice and say hello as we passed by to the lift. I'd say the best thing is its location and price. Of course it was a little noisy but we were in the centre of a city. What more could you want?

Business serviceWe recently spent 4 nights staying at the St Regis and I was really impressed with the value for money we got. It's central location is ideal for getting to all of the main attractions in downtown Vancouver, either on foot, bus or light rail.
Our booking included breakfast which many hotels don't now include as part of the fee, and the breakfast itself was fabulous. There was a wide variety of things to choose from - cereals, mountains of fruit, yoghurt, bread, muffins. The only annoying thing here was that you could only use the lift to access the breakfast room which meant sizeable queues at times just to go back to your room!
The room itself was comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good deal and somewhere to base themselves for the duration of their stay in Vancouver

Business serviceWe had a reservation for 2 nights and we arrived mid afternoon and registered. When we went to our room the room began to vibrate and we looked out the back window to see if we were on a train line. We weren't but we soon realised that our room was next to the lift and was the noisiest that we had ever encountered. We immediately notified reception of our concern and requested a move thinking it would not be a problem as we knew the hotel wasn't full. We were wrong. It appears that is not there policy and we requested to speak to the manager whose name was "Suni". He point blank refused even though we indicated that we didn't believe anybody could sleep under those conditions but to no avail. The lift was going all night and needless to say we were correct in predicting the lack of sleep.

ServiceGot a good rate for this hotel and stayed 4 nights. We were put into room 400 at first and it was TINY!! (See photo). The TV cabinet was in front of the window with a chair in front of it so that you couldn't open the drawers. If you moved the chair out of the way, you couldn't get into the bathroom! We could barely walk round the bed and couldn't put our suitcases anywhere that didn't block the door. Not a very good start.
We complained and were told that they were full that night but they could move us the next day. We moved into a much bigger room with a fridge, large bathroom and two double beds. It was lovely, and we then started to really enjoy our stay.
The hotel is in an excellent location with a great bar next door and a starbucks the other side. The free breakfast was more than adequate and a bonus for a city centre hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel but make sure you're not in room 400!
