“Exellent Stay, Great Value”

Traveller's Inn In Town

5 of 5 stars
Toronto
Jul 10, 2008

Hello all, our experience at this Motel was great! It always seems that the Motels I stay in are far better than the more expensive hotels I stay in. I can't understand way that is. Basically, our experience was fantastic! The beds were very comfortable, the room was exceptionally clean and the customer service was phenomenal! And the price was brilliant! We paid about $108.00 for one night and it was well worth it. Keep in mind that we saw probably about 7 other Traveller Inn locations in the vicinity of ours so I don't think you can go wrong if made a booking in another location. Our location was just outside of downtown Victoria so if wasn't noisy at all. If you go further downtown I would think it would be busier with more distractions. In conclusion, the service and quality was great. We loved every bit of our stay and would not hesitate to stay again when we return to BC (we are from Toronto). Good luck!

“Great Location”

Traveller's Inn In Town

3 of 5 stars
Niton Junction
Aug 29, 2007

My husband and grandaughter stayed at the Travellers Inn during July for 4 nights. It had a great location close to a mall and several stores that I enjoy shopping at as well as two restaurants that were within walking distance. The one problem I had was finding it as I did not realize that there is a travellers inn just about every 2 or 3 blocks on this street. When I stopped at the wrong one they were quite pleasant and directed me to the correct one. The other problem I had were some very noisy neighbours at 3 AM. I called front desk and they very quickly called to the room and then when the noise did not stop they went to the room and had the extra people removed. They were very pleasant and courteous to me and I really appreciated the immediate effort to solve my problem. I would definitely stay here again.
Thanks

“Great Value, Great Service”

Traveller's Inn In Town

We stayed at this Hotel on June 13/14 2007. Found the room comfortable ,clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting sights to see and places to eat. We had a slight problem with the toilet running but that was rectified promptly, once we notified the staff. The Location was a bit farther out than we thought but the hotel provides a free shuttle downtown. It was great that they provided this service, it dropped us off right down in the harbour! We would definately stay there again or any one of their other hotels. If the weather was warmer we would stay at one of the Travellers Inns with a pool. (Submitted by Joanne S. - Vancouver, BC)

“Bad location”

Hotel is 1.2 miles from the inner harbor (Expedia incorrectly says 0.5 miles) and the shuttle only runs about every two hours. We ended up taking a taxi ($9 each way) back and forth to get in and out of town. If you are in Victoria on foot I recomend something closer in.

You get what you pay for. The walls are very thin (we could hear our neighbors television) and there's was no fan in the bathroom. On the plus side, the woman at the front desk was very helpful.

Unfortunately Expedia does not differentiate well between our 11 locations in Victoria. As Expedia does say a Travellers Inn is located .5 miles from downtown, it is with reference to our Downtown location. Intown location is approximately 1.5 miles from the downtown core. All our locations do offer a FREE shuttle service that runs during the day and every hour in the afternoon. We would like to mention that we are constantly upgrading our hotel. We have addressed the issue of sound proofing our rooms. I f this guest had come to the front desk with a noise complaint we certainly would have asked the guest in the adjoining room to turn down the television. This review does not mention the actual noise level or time of day or night this incident happened. We take all noise complaints very seriously. The guest did mention the friendly service that the front desk agent conveyed. We at the Travellers Inns take pride on our friendly service and offer inexpensive, clean rooms. We invite anyone to visit our web site at www.travellersinn.com

“A little disconcerting...”

I stayed in this hotel for almost a week. I had a kitchenette with a comfortable king-sized bed. The staff were courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, the acoustics are such that I could - VERY CLEARLY - hear the people above me. Not muffled...every syllable!

I don't like to give a poor review. The folks upstairs were decent enough that there were no late parties or real disturbances. It was just a little to close for my comfort.
