Just back from one week at The Whistler Creek Lodge, and had a very good time. The outside of the hotel is well enough maintained and we were met with a warm welcome. The hotel wasn't particularly busy when we were there (possibly due to the very poor ski season they have had, or maybe because it was near the end of the season). The adjacent restaurant had went out of business a few weeks earlier which made things, like going for breakfast a little bit of a nuisance. The room we had was large, clean and well maintained, however, it didn't have much in the way of hanging space, which would have been handy to dry off some of the larger pieces of clothing. To get the bus into Whistler takes a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop, and a further 7 minutes by bus.Creekside Gondola takes a few minutes more to walk to. This is a good alternative to Whistler Gondola, as it is less crowded. Creekside as a whole is getting a facelift for the 2010 Olympics and is quite a nice stop off. If you're into apres ski, it's possibly not the place to go, but if you're looking for clean affordable accomodation with a few things to do , it could be the place to go.
