We stayed in a suite on the second floor. The decor was lovely and up-to-date. My first impression upon walking in was 'wow'.
Our suite was close to the elevator, which was audible from the bedroom enough to irk my husband a bit. We were also on the side with a busy road which wasn't that bad, although it wasn't perfect.
The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were very soft and good quality. The pillows were great too. Those were the kind of pillows you'd want in your own home, and the sheets as well.
There was a small coffee table, although when you are sequestered in your hotel room you really need a small table to eat on.
The bathroom jacuzzi was great, with a separate shower. Although the toilet was a little moody, and decided to overflow. The staff didn't really clean up well, and so it was left to us to finish the job.
Even though the room was very classy and nice, we were able to 'babyproof' in a flash. They kindly provided a playpen for our son to sleep in, with little blankets as well.
This hotel didn't put any restrictions on us for having a dog with us. We were allowed a non-smoking suite, and we were never given any restrictions either.
I had read in another review about the parking lot, and security concerns. It can get dark in sections for sure. We tried to park as close to the main entrance as possible in that case.
The continental breakfast was very good. They offered eggs, muffins, juices, scones, and cereals. My husband (who grabs us our breakfasts and brings it up to our room for us) said it was one of the better selections he saw in free breakfasts.
For take-out, we tried Zen (Chinese), and Applebee's. I would recommend Zen, but Applebee's was expensive for what you got.
One caveat I had, was that since it was listed as being at 'Bayer's Lake' that it would be on the same road as all the shopping. It was not. You have to take the highway up a ways and then you will see it. Its a short trip, but not what I consider 'Bayer's Lake'.
