my family stayed here at the end of may for 3 days then came back middle of june it was so good. the moment you walk in the staff are friendly the room was huge and it was clean, and the beds are so comfy, which you want after a long flight with 3 young kids from the uk!!! They do have a laundry room and a nice pool not huge but enough with a waterslide. Breakfast in the morning is buffet style with ceral, toast, bagels, waffels, scones(?) fruit and yogurts 4 lots of juice tea and coffee. The hotel is about a 10/15 min drive from downtown but 5 mins from shopping malls. 2 min walk from the hotel is a shop which stocks things you might forget plus some basic food, but there is a grat pizza take away that is only $5 a pizza plus Tim hortons coffee shops which are EVERYWHERE but so good. I couldnt recommend this place enough it really was good.

The front desk staff are great, friendly and courteous,but the cleaning staff are terrible. The room had food and stir sticks from before, the shower curtain had stains on it (mildew and yellow). In the morning they were knocking on your door at 9 am and then at 11 wanting to know if you were ready to leave. Check out time is 12.
The kids enjoyed the stay swimming in the pool and such. But if you are looking for a clean room and to sleep in don't stay here

We stayed there for 2 nights over the Easter weekend with our 2 kids. We didn't realize when we booked that it was SEDMHA tournament, and that would be our only complaint about our stay. We often had trouble getting through hallways, stairways and other areas of the hotel because of the impromptu "team meetings" Don't get me wrong...this isn't the fault of the hotel. It would just be nice if groups like this realized when staying at hotels that they aren't the only ones in the place. We don't ask for much, but would like to get down the stairs without having to wait for the meeting to break up.
We loved the room: clean, spacious (bathrooms are huge) and well-appointed. When travelling with children, it's great to have the fridge, microwave, and a little more leg room. Oh, and the beds were fantastic!!
We booked there because of the pool and waterslide and weren't disappointed. The kids had a blast!
The staff were great too. We had to complain once about the smell of smoke in the hallways. Another reason we booked there was that it is completely non-smoking. Although we smoke, we never stay in smoking rooms for the kids' sake. But, despite the fact that one of the parties was in a room only steps from the back door where we went to smoke, they chose to do it in their rooms. I don't know how staff missed this as they were regularly patrolling the halls to rein in the busy hockey players who spent a lot of time playing tag in the halls. But this wasn't a problem. Somehow, they managed to finish their games and quiet down by 11 or so. But after we mentioned the smoking to the lady from the front desk, we never smelled it again.
Front desk staff were also very kind and patient with our kids who loved to go down to the breakfast room from time to time to have hot chocolate. Not too often you'll see staff treat little ones so kindly. Thanks! We'll be back for sure.

My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites in December of 2006. This is a fairly new hotel and the staff was very friendly. We paid a reasonable price for a very nice room with a fridge and a microwave. We were travelling with our dog and she was treated very nicely as well. She was given a package with doggy bones in it upon our arrival and they situated us in a room that was close to an exit so we could easily take her outside.

We did experience a problem during our stay however. Our vehicle, that was parked at the back of the parking lot, was broken into during the night. A back window was smashed but since there was nothing of value left in the vehicle, nothing was taken. I was notified with a phone call from the front desk and when I went down to look at our vehicle, the young man from the front desk went outside with me to survey the damage. He was very apologetic and offered to have a staff member put a piece of plastic over the broken window. In hindsight, a free night would have been nice for all our troubles and inconvenience however that was not offered.

This is a nice hotel but if I stay there again I will park out front where my vehicle is in plain view.
