We booked this hotel for a trade show, then I read the reviews here and was wondering what I had let myself in for! I suspect this hotel has been recently renovated, as the '60s architecture contrasts markedly with the modern-chic lobby interior. The rooms are comfortable - we had a standard 2 double bedded room which also had a desk & chair and a recliner - nice touch. The coffee maker was on a purpose-built unit between the room & bathroom, under which was the mini-bar - so much better than in the bathroom as in some hotels! Bathroom was fine, although the bidet made it unnecessarily crowded (who in North America uses a bidet anyways?). Contrary to other reports, I found it well-maintained & clean, housekeeping was prompt with request for polyester pillows & extra towels (although failed to replenish 3rd set the next day), and the elevators were FAST! On the down side, had to pay $15/day for parking, room service overpriced as usual in this type of hotel - but in-room guide was surprisingly detailed, giving lots of local restaurant info. All in all, it was fine for the $139 rate we paid with the trade show, but I think a little over-priced at the rack rate.
