My family and I booked a weekend stay, and left after the first night. Upon arrival, we found that the room that was advertised was not what we received. We complained at the front desk, and their response was, "We can't help you, you have to talk to the supervisor tomorrow". The handle on the toilet promptly broke after one use, the remote was shot, and there was no "movie channel", as promised. The pool was nice, but the room was smelly, stained, and generally uncomfortable. After some discussion, we decided to stay for the night, since there was no possibility of a refund, and then talk to the supervisor the next morning.
She was of less help than the clerk, and said they could only respond to customers' requests for repairs (rather than keep things up themselves), since it's an old building. This manager could not discount nor refund our money, it would have to go to someone in some other office, whom I couldn't speak with, but only leave a message for. HA! It's been a week and I still have not heard from anyone about my complaint.
Next time, a cleaner, friendlier environment will get my business, and from what I heard from others staying at this hotel, we won't be the only ones making that decision.
