“An Excellent Experience”

Harbour House Hotel

What an awesome experience! I planned a romantic getaway with my hubby for Valentine's Day. They helped me with every detail from the intial phone call to the weekend itself. They were very accomodating and extremely professional.

From a couples massage in the room, dinner arrangements both in and out, to sprinkling rose pedals and setting out candles around the bathtub they took care of it all. It was an absolute beautiful room and I couldn't have asked for more. The bed was so heavenly and comfortable. Their attention to details was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

“Very personalized service”

Harbour House Hotel

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier with our choice! We choose the hotel strictly for its location in Niagara on the Lake and for the beautiful pictures on its website - we were not disappointed! The pictures do represent the hotel exactly!

Even better was the service we received! It felt more like we were staying with our family than at a hotel. Everyone knew our names and were more than willing to go out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The breakfast in the conservatory was wonderful, especially the baked french toast!

We had dinner and a spa trip in both of the 2 sister properties and were delighted with both, but dinner at Charles Inn is not to be missed! Try to book it with your hotel stay as part of a package as we did, it was wonderful.

    • Disliked — that we couldn't see the TV from the sofa (so minor, but watching TV in bed instead was a treat!)

“Simply The Best”

Harbour House Hotel

My wife and I have stayed at the Harbour House on two occasions, most recently in January 08. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you know you are in a special place.
The staff are most friendly and professional, the rooms/beds are the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. (linens and comforters are amazing).
Breakfast is served in the conservatory, we went with the smoked salmon...unbelievable!
Our entire experience was an 10++ , Thank-you Harbour House.
btw- they serve local wines every afternoon in their living room...what more can we say.

“Relaxing, Romantic Getaway”

Harbour House Hotel

Jan 8, 2008

My husband and I stayed at the Harbour House at the beginning of January, just before my Christmas holidays from school were finished. We were looking for somewhere to spend time with each other just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. We definitely found it! My parents recommended this hotel to us after having staying there.

When I booked the accommodations on the hotel's website I received an email from one of the hotel's staff offering to make dinner or in-room spa service reservations for us. I emailed them back and asked that they make reservations for us for 8:00 at Zee's. I received an email the next day saying that the reservation had been made.

We arrived in Niagara on the Lake around 1:00 and decided to see if the hotel would allow us to check in early. When we walked in the front doors of the hotel we were greeted by two friendly ladies sitting at the front desk. I used the washroom in the lobby while my husband gave them the information and they checked to see if our room was ready for us, which it was. When we arrived in our room the clock radio was playing light jazz. I was surprised at how big the room was.

Some services included at this hotel that would not normally be included in others:
-DVD library in the lobby (you can borrow any movie you like and watch it in the privacy of your room)
-Wine tasting in the early evening
-A bag of two cookies waiting to greet you when you arrive (We had chocolate chip and they were DELICIOUS)
-Free shuttle to any restaurant in the area

Breakfast was amazing! When we came downstairs at around 8:45 we were greeted by the staff by our names and they asked how we were doing this morning. The french toast was sooo good. It was blueberry and served with a blueberry sauce. It was so good I had two helpings. When I told the server that I loved it, she gave me the recipe as well as the recipe for a different variation. I can't wait to try them out!

My only complaint is that when we arrived at the hotel my husband was told that we didn't have any dinner reservations. When my husband went back down to talk to them about it (I had asked them to make us reservations at Zee's for 8:00 that evening by email well before we had arrived) the front desk told him that they had no record of our reservation. He had them make the reservation again, for 7:00 this time. They also booked the shuttle for us and asked that we be downstairs in the lobby by about 6:45.

Overall my husband and I got just what we needed: a relaxing getaway from the world where we could just be with each other. I suppose we could've gotten that anywhere, but I know we would never have been treated as well if we had gone elsewhere. You truly have to experience it to understand it.

“Opulence at it's best!”

Harbour House Hotel

What a wonderful, pampered stay this past weekend at the Harbour House. It was first class attention from the minute we parked the car. Not only did the accommodations exceed our expectations, it was all (and there were many) the little extras and details that enhanced our stay -- Covered parking with an elevator nearby to the lobby, escorted to our rooms by staff, robes, ice buckets filled, DVD library, CD's in room, cookies, fruit, personalized stationary, newsletters, shuttle service to Charles Inn restaurant, compliimentary bottled water, newspapers and local wine and cheese samplings, lush oversized towels, yoga mats, turn down service ... oh, and the most luxurious bed on the planet with Egyptian cotton linens and down comfort top and bottom!

There is no such word as "no" or "we can't" at the Harbour house. They will happliy accommodate all your needs and appreciate your feedback.

It truly is the added value and the exceptional customer service that reflects their high standards and total commitment to their guests.
