We stayed for a few days' indulgence of the Shaw festival. We loved the hospitality and breakfast quality, and the other guests were very interesting, too. We had the room without en suite, but the bath was across the quiet hall and almost as private. There is a charming backyard garden, with seats for contemplation or conversation. Graham celebrated a birthday while we were there. He is a former sheriff of Toronto, an administrative positiion. There were different pastries for each breakfast, so the fare was not monotonous. We even hit the Cherry Festival at the local Anglican parish, which was a plus. A fife band from the local historic fort performed, a combination of rotund oldsters and lanky kids. The ice cream and cherry pie were wonderful.
