Hate to encourage still more people to book Lakewinds, but the place is perfect and worth the tarrif. Absolutely beautiful gardens with heated pool. Extremely well managed.

Business serviceFirst of all, I would recommend to stay in Niagara-on-the lake instead of directly by the falls. The town is truly beautiful and a huge relief after a visit to the Falls. Don't get me wrong, I loved the falls, but i'm happy we decided not to stay in one of the hotels overlooking them. Way too busy, way too much "vegas/times square" like (which I both visited and loved, but it just was a pity that it has been constructed there, next to those beautiful falls). Anyways, we booked the Venetian and the Sans souci suite, and they were both perfect, although I personnaly preferred the Venetian. The rooms are even nicer than on the pictures of their website. Everything is beautifully decorated, the owners have great taste. In addition to the beautiful house, there's an amazing garden with pool, just perfect for relaxing. The location is great too, in a few minutes you're in the middle of Niagara-on-the lake, but its much more peaceful thanks to its location across the golf. The owners also think of the little details like a porto on arrival, cookies when you leave, a film library, a pool room, ... We really regretted that we could only stay one night. If I lived a little closer I would immediately return for a 3 night stay and enjoy the pool, visit a few wineries, take a stroll around town.. perfect! We had dinner at Peller estates which was amazing, very refined food, good service, beautiful views over the wineries. I really recommend dining there!
Breakfast the next morning was great: homemade muffins and breads, very yummy dutch pancake with apples and slices of ham on the side, yoghurt with fruit, ... more than enough and very good.
In short, we loved this B&B!

Business serviceEverything is perfect at Lakewinds, from the beautifully-appointed rooms to the magnificent grounds and landscaped pool, to the elegant, antique-filled dining room where delicious breakfasts are served on fine china. Conversation with other guests is lively and we found every one interesting. The owners are lovely, fine people who clearly love their property and do everything they can to make their guests feel at home.
We stay in B & Bs when we can, but this one is the tops. We can't return to NOTL this summer, but plan to next year, and will definitely stay at Lakewinds.

ServiceWe had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Lakewinds at the beginning of May. Our room (Heaven), at the top of the house, had great views of both the golf course and Lake Ontario. Breakfast was superb, full of imagination with a different menu everyday. Steve & Jane are excellent hosts with nothing being too much trouble. Lakewinds is situated on Queen Steet just a short 5 minute walk to the town centre with all its shops and restaurants. If we get the opportunity to return to Niagara on the Lake we will definately stay at Lakewinds again.

Business serviceMy husband and I just returned from a weekend stay at Lakewinds Country Manor in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Lakewinds is absolutely beautiful, I loved our room (the Sans Souci) - the cozy reading area in front of the fireplace, the comfortable bed, the oversized jacuzzi - it was perfect. The rest of the manor is amazing . . . a gorgeous living room with woodburning fireplace, a game room with pool table and a sun room that was delightful even in the middle of winter. The breakfasts were delicious and hosts, Steve and Jane were so gracious and really made you feel at home. Even though we visited in the offseason, there was just enough to do (though honestly, I would have been happy just staying in our cozy room all day). The town is very cute with little shops and restaurants, and many vineyards in the area to visit. We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway and Niagara-on-the-Lake and, especially Lakewinds Country Manor, exceeded our expectations. We will definately be returning.
