A warm and welcoming B & B. Newly renovated rooms with a hotel, upmarket feel. Clean, spacious rooms with excellent ensuite facilities. Friendly but not intrusive hosts. Gourmet breakfasts every morning. Walking distance of lake, shopping and theatres. Highly recommended.

“An Incredible Vacation”

Redwood Garden Bed & Breakfast

5 of 5 stars
Champaign, Illinois

I wanted to create a romantic get-a-way for my girlfriend this Labor Day Weekend. After visiting Sherman's Travels.com and discovering Niagara-on-the-lake as one of 10 must go spots for labor day weekend... I immediately began researching what to do and where to stay.
My girlfriend and I are in our mid 20's and I personally have never left the states... nor have I stayed in a B&B before. Yet, this vacation was unforgettable and I am so glad that this B&B is where our stay landed at. Situated right in the heart of NIagara-on-the-lake (literally a block from Queen Street), this B&B has prime location access to the town, restuarants, waterfront, and Niagara Falls attractions. (Did I mention the 17 plus wineries and the microbrewery they also have less than 5km away.)
The hosts are absolutely charming and accommodating. First, the room (morning mist) is gorgeous. The lounge and garden are beautiful. But honestly, this B&B's biggest asset is its owners. They are absolutely endearing and when you leave you'll feel like you've just parted company with family. As I said before, I have never stayed at a B&B before, but I believe going forward it is the only way to travel.
The breakfast we had both mornings was first class. 3 courses both mornings and different menus both days. The meals alone make this B&B an absolute gem.
The nearby attractions and wineries make for the perfect romantic get-a-way. I honestly just can't say enough positive things about this B&B and this location for a vacation. The only regret I have is that I couldn't make my stay longer. I definitely plan to return to this spot (and not for Niagara Falls - the town has so many wonderful things to see and do that Niagara Falls almost seemed overshadowed. I had never seen the Falls and I recommend everyone do it once... but in the future I completely believe this B&B and vacation spot has enough character and activities to easily fill a wonderful get-a-way vacation).

“One of the finest b and b's we've ever stayed at”

We just love this b-and-b. Superb breakfasts, lovely patio just off the bedroom, a garden with songbirds, and a charming host and hostess, Liz and Ian Rigg. We've stayed there before -- but you have to book way ahead of time. It is walking distance from the excellent productions of the Shaw Festival -- and just a half block from the beautiful park overlooking Lake Ontario.Sally Luther and John Neumaier, Poughkeepsie, NY

“Excellent Bed & Breakfast in the "Old Town"”

Redwood Garden Bed & Breakfast

I have just returned to New Zealand having spent the last 5 nights of a 2 week trip to Canada at the Redwood Garden B & B.

I have never stayed in accommodation before that was so scrupulously clean! My hosts Liz and Ian were warm, friendly and inviting from the minute I showed up. I was a woman travelling alone and felt completely safe and was given as much privacy as I wanted. Breakfasts were more than I could eat, delicious and there was incredible variety.

The guest lounge was a warm and cosy santuary in the evenings and the garden a relaxing outlook or quiet place to sit after a wander around the shops or one of the many other activities available in the area.
The proximity to town or the lake edge was very convenient and Liz and Ian have an excellent knowledge of what is available in the town for visitors be it eating out, shopping or other activities. I cannot recommend this B & B highly enough and hope to return in the future and take my husband and family with me.

“What a find !”

Redwood Garden Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I along with some dear friends from Michigan spent a delightful long-weekend in October 2005 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Through the Chamber of Commerce we booked our stay with Liz and Ian at Redwood Garden Bed and Breakfast.

We found it to be an ideal spot for two couples who wanted a place that was comfortable, have some privacy and an area where we would be able to relax and just visit! Redwood Garden had all these things and so much more!

Redwood Garden was just perfect. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Liz and Ian have done an exceptional job both inside and outside their B & B home since moving to Canada from England two years ago.

The location was ideal. Once we parked our cars we never used them again until we left for home. All that we needed to see and visit was only a short walk away.

The best part of our stay was meeting and visiting with Liz and Ian. they are impeccable B & B hosts. They made certain we were comfortable and offered every assistance possible. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, woderful breakfasts, interesting conversation and kindheartedness. More importantly they made us feel like family. When we left, saying goodbye was difficult.

Having just booked our next visit promted me to post this belated review.
