We booked into this hotel as it was close to the wedding reception we came into town for and the groom had arranged special rates. Hotel is very clean. Room is large but needs more decorating and better insulation. Every time someone in a nearby room ran a shower we could hear it. Contintential breakfast was okay but contained only the bare minimum items.

Didn't actually end up staying the staff had no idea what they were talking about, the other travelodge in north bay was 50 dollars cheaper for the same room. needless to say after reading the other reviews of this hotel, I cancelled the reservation and booked right away at the other one. Training and customer service are key in a successful business

“Terrible Staff, Pay Too Much!”

What a rip! $144 for a single overnight. These guys MUST be used to ripping off tired highway travellers who are too bushed to go looking for better. Like the review below, this place has to be running some kind of scam, the Toronto prices are MUCH cheaper! Ice buildup at rear, noisy, dry rooms, sled parties all night, slow check-in/out, YUCK!
Big girl at front dest very condescending and patronizing, not sincere about checking rates or helping out. In North Bay, the Inn on the Bay is a MUCH better deal...

Room was clean and Hotel staff were very friendly. All needs were met by Hotel staff quickly.

Hotel is your basic accomodation. Location is easy to find as it is near a major highway. Very little road noise (room was at the rear of hotel).

Free do-it -yourself breakfast is a great bonus and should be maintained by the Hotel.

Pool and Hot tub are older and could be renovated.

A great place to overnight!!

The parking at this location is not the best. It was very hard to find a spot to park.

Second, the rates are appalling!! I was charged $139.99 for a room that I checked-in to at 11PM!?! I have never paid so much for a room at a Travelodge…not even in Toronto! Also, since then, I have learned that the rates at the other Travelodge in North Bay are $60 cheaper.

Third, I was charged more for a room on the first floor. I have never encountered a Travelodge that did this. I was travelling with a person in a wheelchair that could not make it up stairs. This is an injustice against people with disabilities.

I have stayed at Travelodge hotels dozens of times and at many locations, and I must say that I have never been as dissatisfied with a Travelodge hotel as I am about this one.

Never again will I stay at this location, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.
