This little hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff were helpful and friendly, and it was very clean. If you are in the section of the hotel with private bathrooms, the rooms are modern and cute and included the amenities I wanted (iron, TV, desk, kitchenette, etc.). I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't require a 5 star accommodation.
However, the rooms with shared bathrooms are another story. I had to stay in one the first night I was there because I couldn't find another room in downtown Montreal, and the room had a definite "youth hostel" feel. It faced Rue St. Denis which is extremely noisy, the room had a funny smell that I couldn't get used to, the lighting was dim, and there was no mirror in the room which made it difficult to get ready. However, the room and the shared bathroom were spotless, and would be a good option for someone on a real shoestring budget or if you care more about location than the luxuries you might find in an airport hotel.
If you can afford it, avoid the cheaper rooms and stay in one of the nice, quiet, private ones!
