We arrived at night and were greeted by very friendly staff, which gave us a great first impression. When we were shown our room and we looked out the window we were absolutely delighted by the amazing view (try to get rooms numbered 1 or 2 on any floor to get the view of Old Quebec inside the walls).

The room itself was nice and comfortable and we were very happy with it. The hotel was close to everything and we could walk anywhere we wanted to see.

We chose this Hotel based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, and were so happy we did. The location can't be beat, as the entrance to Old Quebec is right outside the front door. The staff was the best we've encountered anywhere, even remembering our names and greeting us each time we came in. They also gave some great advice when we asked for recommendations for places to eat, and things to see. The valet parking made the stay convenient, as everything we wanted was within a five minute walk of the hotel. The room, with 2 queen beds was spacious, and interesting in it's layout, suitable for two adults and a child. The breakfast in the Hotel restaurant was excellent, and reasonably priced. Again, staff was great.
If you go to Quebec and stay here, you won't be disappointed.

I stayed 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott. It is in a good location but it was difficult to find. It is not listed on many maps and it is close to only Old Quebec which you could see it all in half a day.

The rooms were larger than expected and very well maintained. The beds are were comfortable. There is only one elevator in the front and one in the back which could take a while if there are many people using it. The internet is free but the service was a bit irratic since connection was not wifi but by cable.

There are not that many good restaurants nearby so I would suggest you eat at the hotel restaurant. It's breakfast buffet is excellent but pricey [$14] and dinner was also excellent as the food was top quality and the portions were large and also prepared by a real chef. Note that only corporate hotel chains can afford to pay for qualified chefs while other restaurants nearby uses short order cooks and skimp on quality. Dinner for 2 is about $75 -but is it fine cuisine, so it is worth it.

The best asset the hotel has is its staff. They are all young and were always helpful with a smile and happy to speak English at their best.

I would stay at this hotel again.

This is an outstanding Hotel. If ever you need to be in Quebec City, this is the place. Location is excellent, Staff is fantastic.
