I stayed here early Feb and for the price it CAN NOT BE BEAT!! Keep in mind this is not the ritz but it isnt run down either it is a good place to lay your head after a day on the slopes and with the free wifi thrown in we were happy, the only thing is I would request the top floor so noisy upstairs guests wont wake you.

The hotel has good reviews and had a good rate so I tried it. I booked over 4 weeks ahead of time and the manager told me "We have plenty of room" I brought my printed confirmations with me and when I arrived, he had given my room to someone else, and stuck us in the handicapped room. We were obviously very pissed off. He said the only other room he had available was the jacuzzi room and it was $30 a night more. The Owner came into the middle of the conversation and said its open go ahead and give it to them. He said Oh no its booked its booked, lying to the manager trying to get him to screw us too. The phone rang and he told the people all he had was a jacuzzi room for the $30 more rate and they didnt sound interested, obviously confirming his lie to us once again, right in front of the owner. We asked him to upgrade us to the jacuzzi suite as soon as it was vacant and he said he would, and we held him to it. We stayed in the handicapped room as I knew I wouldnt find anywhere else on such short notice. This manager shoud be fired, he has no common sense, he would rather screw someone out of their room, stick them in a handicapped room and lie to them for a chance at a measly $30. Turns out he never even filled that jacuzzi room that night. I will never stay here again because this manager is so bad. I think his name was chris. The owner had the right idea. Generally however the hotel was a bit dissappointing, it was okay in mediocre standards but again its a MOTEL not a hotel. Hot tub/pool was decent, jacuzzi room is bad..this place is typical to a side of the highway low traffic motel 6 basically. Will never stay here again as I will not support those kind of managers with so many other hotels to choose from.

Booked hotel for 1 night - room with a spa. Hotel definitely needs some updating. Friendly employees. Room was clean but bathroom smelled a little moldy. TV was situated where it was difficult to see from the bed. When I went to use the spa the jets wouldn't work which I was really disappointed. It was in the wee hours of the night so I didn't want to call and bother them. When I went to checkout I told the front desk only to find out they forgot to tell me there is a special button on the wall I was supposed to use instead. There was a sign on how to operate the spa but nothing about the button for the jets. He said oh I guess I forgot to tell you, sorry about that! They did agree to give me a discount only after I asked for it.

Helpful staff and dog-friendly motel. We paid $50 between the ski season and fourth of july weekend to stay here with our dog ($40 for us, $10 for our dog). The rooms are nothing fancy but are functional, clean, and decent sized. The in-room fridge was helpful prior to our hiking trip and proximity to the main shopping center is great. It's hard to find dog friendly places in South Lake Tahoe: stay here if you need a place for a night or two with your pooch.
