“convenient, family-friendly, needs some attention”

Plaza St. Bernard

3 of 5 stars
Toronto, Ontario
Mar 23, 2008

Well situated, ski in/out. spacious and decent value. our room needed attention (broken door, visible spills on walls/carpet, needed a thorough cleaning). this is an apartment-style residence. noisy at night (students partying late, hill grooming if you're slope-side). no front desk, pool, or hot tub. there is a pass to the community pool included, but not convenient and can get busy with group events. cleaning service subpar. check in/out can be a long wait. have preferred other accomodations (e.g. Fairmont). in any event the skiing and apres ski at Tremblant superb, and overall had a brilliant time.

“Great accomodation but no chance of sleep!”

Plaza St. Bernard

Jan 7, 2008

We just returned from a fantastic New Year in Tremblant - and have done nothing but catch up on sleep since!

Before booking I checked trip advisor and the only complaint was the noise and to therefore request a mountain view room. I requested this but for whatever reason we were put in the Le Johannsen building overlooking the Rue des Ramparts (e.g. the main high street) Fantastic view of the Plaza and the street but not so amusing at 6am when the shop owners beneath are scraping the snow from the front of their shops using metal shovels (which continues until about 9am). We attempted to have a holiday 'siesta' when the slopes shut about 3.30pm but the daily New Year street carnival began with the largest speakers I've ever seen attached to a golf cart! When we did manage to get some sleep in one of our camp beds the back pain only lasted for about 3hours the following day.

Once we accepted after day three that we would not be sleeping at all this holiday we decided to not let it ruin our trip and to just deal with it. There was no point complaining because the resort was practically at full capacity so there was nothing anyone could do. I have no doubt that the hotel would have done whatever they could to have helped as their service was second to none.

Apart from the sleep issue we had a fantastic time, the hotel is practialy right on the slopes, they provide free safe deposit boxes, free locks for the ski lockers and the cleaniness was superb.

I would recomend the resort to everyone, the ski-ing, the snow mobiling and snow tubing were all great. My husband enjoyed the night-time zip-lining whilst I wimped out!

P.S. Watch out for the Hurricanes in Fat Mardis - they seem harmless at first but at some point your legs just give way!

“great family accomadation”

Plaza St. Bernard

Jan 3, 2008

Family of 5 (children 12,13 and 16). stayed in condo In Les Deslauriers building over christmas. Lovely clean condo open fire/ balcony over village main street (but not noisey) very spacious and great deep baths lovely for soak after day on the slopes. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare a family meal.
Lockers on lower floor for skis, access from square at bottom of the ski slopes.
Free use of Aqua source leisure centre for duration of stay.
We were told we would no longer have daily maid service but they came every day (except one) with fresh towels and to make beds.
welcoming and helpful reception.
would recommend these to anyone wishing to experience the delights of mont tremblant

Absolutely the best. I do not have one single complaint. We had a studio room and it was gorgeous. Perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. When we called to book it, the girl was kind enough to inform me that the studio with the loft was the same price, although you wont see that one on the website. Instead of a murphy bed, you have a beautuful double bed on a second story loft with an amazing duvet comforter. The kitchen has everything you could imagine. I would not even consider staying anywhere else on our next visit to Mont Tremblant.

“Great time!”

My friends and I stayed for two nights at this hotel. Mar 2,3 2007
We were very lucky with the room because we had an incredible view of the mountain. Do check out the Mont Tremblant website for a list of activities. There was a snowboard jump competition, which was a plus, we were able to watch the finals from our hotel window. Unluckily it was also March Break for quebec students, there were a lot of people.

Our hotel was a two bedroom loft: 3 full baths, 2 queen size bed, 1 king size bed and 1 double bed pull out couch. There was a full kitchen complete with a dishwaher; two tvs.

The location was GREAT!!! We were literally steps from the lifts and still have the convenience of the village.

The hotel was on the pricey side for $450/night, but since there was a lot of us, we were able to split the cost. The rest of the village was a bit pricey too. but if you're in the mountains with no where else to buy what you need, expect the prices to be high. there was lots of entertainment for families, young and old, romantics and singles.

The highlight of trip were the staff and local merchants. Everyone was so helpful and so friendly. As a beginner snow boarder, I spent all my time at the training hill. There were attendants at the beginning and at the end of the ramp lift. Occasionally I would hear them greet the learners Bonjour, how are you, make small chit chat and have great smiles. the local merchants were very friendly whenever I had a question.

be careful of the hills as they are slippery. they try their best by putting gravel, but i still fell, but not too hard.
