We stayed in this hotel for one night. We were visiting friends who live outside of London, and decided to stay in a hotel for the night. We were not in this hotel for very long, but while there, we really enjoyed it! We were upgraded to a bigger room and it was very nice! The room and bathroom were both very big. I would definitely go back to this hotel for a longer stay!

“Lovely hotel, but avoid the expensive bar!”

This is a hotel with class. The location is excellent as are the rooms - spacious, clean and luxurious. The receptionist walked me to my room, which was very kind and genuine. I paid £100 per night, which I thought was an excellent rate for such a hotel. However, after a few glasses of wine with friends in the very pleasant bar, the bill was astonishing. If you are wealthy, you won't worry about this. But I am not. Overall, well done the Langham.

“Great Service & Location, old fashioned sink drove me nuts!”

This hotel was very grand in its day but it is showing it's age.

I had to change rooms because the first one was cramped and seemed unclean--maybe just because of the age of the hotel. The second room was brighter, a bit larger and seemed like it was much cleaner--maybe it had been renovated more recently. It did not face the street so it was nice and quiet.

The lesson I learned from staying here, is to ask older hotels if the sink has one spout. The Langham has beautiful fixtures but one spout for cold and a separate one for hot--and it's really hot. I appreciate old traditions but I like warm running water and I ended up brushing my teeth and washing my face in the tub!

I was there around the holiday season November 2006 and there were lots of parties going on. I tried to ask a man who was dressed very "hip" for dining suggestions but he ignored me. Apparently he was a very famous English "rocker" --guess he was miffed I didn't recognize him!

The staff is pleasant and the service is wonderful however. The breakast buffet is expensive because it offers a lot and the staff does try to accommodate your needs. I enjoyed it but once was enough. With the exchange rate being $2USD to 1GBP, I save my $ for dinner. The bar staff is also very hospitable I found when I went to have a nightcap before going up to the room.

Internet charge is expensive. Health Club nice to work out in.

There is a lot to do within walking distance. Picadilly Circus is about a 10-15 minute scenic walk past all the shops on Regent street.

If not for the old fashioned sink, I wouldn't mind staying there again if I could get a room for around $300. I would deal with the sink if the rate was closer to $200. There are just too many other options in the $300-400 range.

“Castlelike Experience!”

We were booked at the Langham thru our tour group and we were not disappointed. The is truly a grand Hotel. Like all things in England, if you book on your own it will be expensive. One night our air went out in our room and they were right on the problem. They could not fix it and moved us immediately across the hall no problem. The morning breakfast buffett was my only problem. If it was not for the fruit and cereal section I would have starved. The British are not know for good food. Being from the South it was a shock. But the hotel and staff are very gracious and go out of their way for you. I would overall recommend it to anyone. Room service was even very much on the ball. Beautful building and good location. S. “Quite loved it”

The Langham, London

I've stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in the middle of April, and I want to say that apart from the reivews I've seen here I like the hotel a lot. Of course the underground noise is there, especially in the part of the building with the club rooms, but it didn't affect my sleep at all. I guess that if you have problems with your sleep normally it will be bothering you, but in case you're like me go to sleep easily no matter where there won't be any problems.
I've stayed in the club room on the 4th floor and while the view was awful, or better to say there weren't any view at all, the room was quite big, with a long corridor, and the bathroom was giant with separate bath and walk-in shower.
I've also enjoyed the reading and club lounges of the hotel, the reading lounge offers complimentary interent access which was very convenient and of course drinks and light snacks were there.
All of the stuff I've met throughout my stay was polite and willing to help.
After all that's an LHW property but not as pricey as the Ritz for example. Honestly you should expect as much as you've paid for from the hotel.
