“So Helpful !!!!”

I stayed in this Hotel just after the Christmas period and had booked a standard room for myself and my husband upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely member of Staff (Maia) who informed us we had been upgraded and after taking all our details diverted us to our room - which was lovely it overlooked the gardens and was so peaceful.

Later that evening we decided to eat in the restaurant and was seated in a really cozy area our drinks order was taken and we were swiftly moved into the dining room where we were served a fantastic three course meal. The staff could not do more for us !!!!!

After reading some of the comments on trip advisor I am shocked and appalled and felt I had to write my own review on this peaceful hotel in lovely settings.

I cannot fault the staff as they could not do more for you. I have already booked again.

I loved it!!! Room was nice and clean. from the moment you walked in the door it was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient and oh my word, what a comfy bed.The polite and curious nature of all staff made us feel most welcome, especially Carolyn, couldn't have done more for us!!! The ladies who work on reception are absolutely stunning. definitely we will be coming back.

What a fantastic stay, my partner and I booked a two night spa break at the hotel, on arrival the receptionist was very helpful, we went into our room and it was lovely everything we needed, and it was warm and welcoming. We then went to the spa for a relax in the pool and our treatments were booked for the next day, to my amazement there was a hairdressing salon there that had been opened a since December, it was very busy, there was a very helpful member of staff with blonde hair who went out of her way to book me in that day. The results were fantastic.

We booked at the reception for the evening meal, and I would give 9/10 for food and all the staff were very polite and helpful the service was very good, I have been to some restaurants but this is was very good, that good we booked for the second night. The atmosphere was relaxing and a good choice of music. We then went to the bar which again was everything that we wanted service and company with a smile

Breakfast was busy but we got served with a smile and all the staff looked busy they were fantastic.

The hotel was a delight to go to, I have booked to go again and would recommend this little treasure to anyone. The staff went out of the way to make the stay enjoyable, overall we had a relaxing stay.

“Aa forgettable experience”

I had passed this lovely looking hotel on many occasions on route to Holyhead and this time decided to sample. It is in a scenic setting which makes it all the more inviting and the glass frontage gives a modern and characteristic appeal.
Check-in was okay and I had a single which was tired and shoddy looking with loose wallpaper and worn fittings. There was a clanging of pipes all night which didn't help with a 0600 start!!
Went to the bar for a pint and a barmeal and the 2 couples who were there advised I could have a lengthy wait....they were right and after 15 minutes I gave up.I could here staff laughing and giggling in the background. One young lad came out with a meal for one of the couples ,looked at me and disappeared.
I went to the restaurant lounge and waited....and waited.Eventually I was asked if there was anything I wanted - a menu and a drink would have helped.I ordered a bottle of wine which was opened in the kitchen and a glass brought out to me.Astonishing.Constantly through the evening there were young staff laughing and shouting to each other...across the restaurant.I have never witnessed anything like it.The food was very poor when served and twice I was given the dish of the lady sat behind me.
To be quite blunt the whole evening was a joke.I could not believe that a hotel displaying awards for service at reception, could have so many young and obviously inexperienced staff.Nobody had a care.
I could not wait to leave.

“Twice is enough”

Our second and last stay at this hotel.

How things have changed in a year. The room was in the new wing, good quality and spacious.

We stayed on a Saturday night and the first time we went to the spa were told as there were 16 people already in the spa we could not enter. Called back an hour later, still the same amount of people in and this time we were allowed in. The spa staff were too busy to deal with us as it is now also a hairdressers and mad busy on a Saturday afternoon. No towels to use as it looked like the daily allowance had been used up, no bags for wet trunks either.

Bar prices not good, £3.00 for a pint of Grolsh!

Limited dinner menu with not much choice for vegeterians. Breakfast even poorer choice for vegeterians however people that came in after us were given a wider varierty of veggie food.

Sunday morning at the spa - no staff, no towels.

It's not cheap to stay here and will go to a major chain next time as the service was not good enough.
