My husband and I stayed 2 nights over the Easter weekend and had a lovely break. I thought everything about the hotel was very pleasant and I would definitely return however i was slightly disappointed by the restaurant Number 40. We received an email a couple of weeks prior to our stay suggesting we book and we decided we would have a meal at the hotel on our first night. I'm a vegetarian and the selection was quite limited and it was made harder when one of the choices wasn't available. It annoyed me to see that you had to order your side dishes separately at an additional charge, personally i think it should be included in the price. My husband had the steak and chips and the chips had been arranged very neatly 3 across and 4 up. It's nice to think that someone has had their fingers on every single chip on your plate! Breakfast and the overall service in the hotel was great but the restaurant niggled me slightly.

Room very nice, comfortable. If I was being pedantic, the towels in the bathroom although clean, had been well used.

There was some noise from a downstairs bar. My wife called down to complain about 11pm. She was told the bar was due to be open till 1am. To be fair the noise stopped almost immediately.

Breakfast was very good (although they didnt have any tomato juice!)

A very enjoyable stay. We have stayed in all of the 'rated' hotels and would certainly return to the St Andrews Golf Hotel

We had a great weekend break at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us making our stay very memorable. Food lovely and well presented. The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day. The room was very large, comfortable, well furnished with a wonderful view of the bay and the beach. Would definitely return and recommend to all

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the warm welcome at reception, our seaview room with Molton Brown toiletries, the service in the bar (the cream scones in the afternoon were a real treat), the service at dinner and breakfast,it really made our weekend special. In November, I visited the Burj in Dubai and the service I received during my visit to the St Andrew's Golf Hotel was on par if not better. My only hope is that the new management don't try to change it so drastically that it loses its ambience and the great level of service.
