We had our office staff party in Dublin for 2 nights at the end of November.
We booked Arlington based on the reviews. We wanted a reasonably priced hotel in a good location and that is what we got.
Arlington is well located right by the Liffey river. The Temple Bar area starts right on the other side of the river (if that's what you are looking for).
The rooms on the 4th floor are refurbished and new. We had a room on the 4th floor and it was good. The toilet was made for disabled people which was somewhat difficult for us. There was no space at all where to land your belongings so we moved the room table to the (huge) toilet for our toiletries.
There is no safe or minibar in the room.
Breakfast was very good, pleanty of food to choose from.
Many of our group had difficulties with their room key cards, i.e. the doors did not open with them, which seem to be quite annoying when in the middle of the night you need to back down to get a new card.
Entering the hotel in the night was also a bit tricky. The front door is locked and there was only a little bell hidden to the side. We rang the bell for many minutes with no answer. Then the night staff came (had been in the toilet and did not hear the bell). We started to feel a little odd on the street ringing the bell and no-one answering...
All in all, the hotel was good and served its purpose. I would recommend it for a short city visit.
