“Good location, great breakfast”

Arlington Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Espoo, Finland
Dec 31, 2007

We had our office staff party in Dublin for 2 nights at the end of November.

We booked Arlington based on the reviews. We wanted a reasonably priced hotel in a good location and that is what we got.

Arlington is well located right by the Liffey river. The Temple Bar area starts right on the other side of the river (if that's what you are looking for).

The rooms on the 4th floor are refurbished and new. We had a room on the 4th floor and it was good. The toilet was made for disabled people which was somewhat difficult for us. There was no space at all where to land your belongings so we moved the room table to the (huge) toilet for our toiletries.

There is no safe or minibar in the room.

Breakfast was very good, pleanty of food to choose from.

Many of our group had difficulties with their room key cards, i.e. the doors did not open with them, which seem to be quite annoying when in the middle of the night you need to back down to get a new card.

Entering the hotel in the night was also a bit tricky. The front door is locked and there was only a little bell hidden to the side. We rang the bell for many minutes with no answer. Then the night staff came (had been in the toilet and did not hear the bell). We started to feel a little odd on the street ringing the bell and no-one answering...

All in all, the hotel was good and served its purpose. I would recommend it for a short city visit.

“Great Service”

Arlington Hotel

I had planned to stay at the Arlington from Dec 21-23. Unfortunately, my flight to Ireland was cancelled due to bad weather. I called the hotel and they were able to cancel my reservation with no charges despite the fact that I was slated to check in just an hour ro so later. Great service and I definitely plan to stay there when I am next in Dublin.

“Good atmosphere”

Arlington Hotel

Dec 13, 2007

Stayed here with friends for 2 nights, the Hotel is a little tired looking. Can't complain about the atmosphere in the bar as it's very good as was the entertainment. A bit of noise in the mornings thanks to the dustcart, but not the fault of the hotel. Would probably stay here again just for the location.

“Well above our expectations!!”

I stayed at the Arlington Hotel from 7th to 10th December 2007 with my husband. Having read some reviews that the hotel was noisy and the rooms in need of decoration, we requested a room on the 4th floor and were told these were deluxe rooms and we were charged an extra 20 euro's per night which was worth it. The room was well above average for a three star hotel. It was a decent size and very clean. Although we did hear some noise from the hotel and the road outside, it was no more than you would expect staying in a hotel so central to everything! The entertainment was fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough to help us! All in all, it was a great place to stay and if we return to Dublin in the future we will definately stay there again.

“Great time”

Arlington Hotel

Dec 9, 2007

Stayed at the Arlington Hotel 3 December for the weekend with my sister and friend. We have stayed at this hotel about five times. Arrived at checked in, we were early as we had a morning flight, but we could leave our suitcases until later. In the afternoon went to our room, we stayed on the second floor, with sea views. The room was very spacious, but we had trouble with our central heating and the cold tap was not working. This was swifty taken care of via the Deputy Manager. The bar in the hotel is fab then there is a nightclub downstairs which is open until about 3am. We all had a great time there, food is great, atmosphere great and we will definately be going back for sure.
