Stayed in this hotel in order to run the Dublin marathon and the location for the start and finish of the run was great.

The hotel is about a half hour easy stroll to the main centre of Dublin.

The room was good, the bathroom was nicely decorated in an old fashioned style with a high powered flood shower, which was great.
The bed was enormous, comfortable with a nice heavy quilt.

Loads of TV channels including sky sports.

The breakfast variety was good, and I had the full Irish which would have been nicer if the food had been grilled in stead of deep fried.

All the staff were pleasant and the bar was also nice.

stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in october, staff pleasant at both check in and breakfast. large room, needed to be for the size of the bed, super double i think ! room and bathroom very clean. I stayed here on business but would like to go back to Dublin to see more of the city and would definately stay at the schoolhouse Hotel

We stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel for three days. When we unlocked the door to what we thought was our room, we discoverd someone else was already in the room. They quickly rectified the situation and gave us another room.
The breakfast was excellent as well as the dinner we ate on the first night .The front desk people were excellent and answered all our questions promptly and in a totally professional manner.
If you want a top sheet you do need to ask for one and they will take care of it.
They only thing we didn't like was the shower. It was too forceful.

Not quite sure what everyone else seems to be going on about! It is a very average hotel, and certainly not a decent 4* standard.
My room was very dusty, and the air-conditioning unit did not work. The food was average, although I only had one evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. What was most unsatisfactory about my stay here however was the fact that the shower did not work.....it was almost falling off the wall! As far as I'm concerned, that should not happen in any 4* hotel, and would certainly not encourage me to revisit this place again.....However, I did find the staff to be courteous and helpful.
