The first time i went to this hotel was when it was the Ryans Hotel. It was years ago but i still remember it. There was absolutely nothing for my brother and I to do. It was rubbish. The staff were all ignorant except for one bar man who was really nice. We ended up leaving the next day...

In 2006 when my mam said we were going back there I nearly cried. But when we got there I couldnt believe what I was looking at. It had completely changed. There was a new sports hall, kids club with many activities that would suit kids of all ages and there was the new 18 hole mini golf course. There was also a room with playstation2's and games were provided.

The hotel was full of children. This was another thing that made the hotel great.It was a chance to make new friends. I rarely saw my parents. The only time i saw the was when i needed more money.
There was only one thing that upset me. One night my parents wanted me,my brother and a friend from his clss to have dinner with my younger brother. The food was luke warm and there was not much to choose from. All in all the hotel was great, the room was spacious and well equiped.All in all it was a great experience and since then I have been back 3 more times. I would reccommend this hotel to families with children and teenagers.

We stayed here for one night - good Friday the 21st march 2008.
We had a party of 4 adults and 4 kids (aged 9, 7, 3 and 1)

The kids had a great time - They particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, meeting other children and there was a childrens entertainer making animals out of balloons etc.

We adults enjoyed the price which was good value, 2 family rooms foor 119 euro each per night. The food and drink were okay, a little pricey for what you got, but no major complaints. And all my dealings with the staff were positive.

As it was good Friday and all pubs were shut, the hotel bar in the lobby was very busy serving food and drink to the residents of the hotel. The place was full of people with kids. At times it felt like the kids were running the place. If I was on a a business trip, a romantic getaway, or a weekend with the lads, I would have been horrified.

I would reccomend this place as perfect for those with children looking for good value and good facilities but if you fall into any other category this place might just drive you insane!

Having spent the weekend in this Hotel I was very dissatisfied about the renovation work being carried out in the bar area. Our group had planned on watching saturdays matches on the large screen in the main bar area but this area was closed due to renovation work being carried out. This meant everybody sitting out in the lounge area.Trying to get a seat was very difficult. When booking this hotel there was no mention that renovation work on this scale was being carried out. I spoke to several people and they were all very unhappy about this.
Also this hotel is supposed to be child friendly but it is very difficult to get around with a pushchair due to steps.
We were also very dissapointed with the fact that the pool was closed for several hours on Sunday morning.I think this was because someone had got sick though which at least proves they keep the pool clean, try telling this to a bunch of children all excited about going for a swim.

just back from a night stay with our two kids (4,1) and really enjoyed it. Pool area fantastic for the 2 boys. very clean and staff excellent. room was nice but could not open windows because we were on second floor and boys would have fallen out. Room very clean and no problem with extra towels. I would recommend this hotel if you have small children.
