“Small and perfectly formed”

La Villa Paris

La Villa Paris is, in a word, perfect. Marie, the host, is extremely friendly, helpful and well-informed. She provides the most delicious breakfast in the mornings, of local pastries, breads and cereal. The room was clean and beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest metro, which gives you plenty of time to absorb the feel of a true Parisian neighbourhood - and lets you avoid all the other tourists! Highly recommended.

We recently returned from a wonderful, one-week stay at La Villa Paris. After an extensive search of hotels in Paris, we opted to stay at this amazing B&B in order to get a true "slice of life" by residing in a French home and neighborhood. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! While my husband & myself stayed in the "Concorde", our children (ages 23 & 20) were in the "Opera" downstairs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and have all the amenities that one could possibly need (flat screen TVs, WIFI, comfy beds, and electric blackout shades in all windows to name a few).

The owner Marie is simply incredible. She personally prepared our breakfast of croissants, pastries, bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit, cheese, coffee, milk and juice each morning. She then would assist us with our daily itinerary - as she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to restaurants, shopping, the museums, transportation, etc. Although we were out late each evening, we would always return to a note left by her welcoming us home and asking what time we would like breakfast the following morning.

As mentioned, it is a short walk to the Metro at Place d'Italie and the stroll takes you by wonderful shops (and on Tuesdays & Fridays an open-air market set up just outside LVP). It is an equally short distance to the RER train at Cite Universitaire as we made a connection for a day trip to London via the Chunnel one day.

Merci Marie! We definitely hope to return to La Villa Paris some day and visit with you again.

“Our special place in Paris”

La Villa Paris

Mar 7, 2008

We stayed at La Villa Paris in February and had a lovely time there. Booking was easy and Marie, the owner, speaks fluent English.

Although we did not get to meet Marie in person during our stay (as she was away on holiday - we had been informed beforehand), we were very well looked after by her friends, Christine and Alexandra.

When we arrived, we were allocated a free room upgrade, which was much appreciated for our romantic break in Paris. :) (There are only 4 rooms there.)

Our room, the Champs Elysees was lovely and spacious (by Parisian standards). The room was tastefully decorated with a large king-sized bed, a built-in wardrobe, a wall-mounted LCD TV, a small writing table and a couple of chairs. The ensuite marble bathroom seemed even bigger than the bedroom! There was a good large shower, a jacuzzi bath and double sinks there. And lots of white fluffy towels provided.

There were also nice details e.g. complimentary pettite fours, chocolates, bottled water, tourist info, city map, etc. available.

The continental breakfast was excellent each morning, especially the pattiseries. Yuuuummmm! We are still dreaming of the croissants we had each morning there. :)

La Villa Paris is very well located for public transport to any of the tourist spots. We preferred staying there than in the centre of Paris's tourist hot spots as it was actually fairly quiet (so you could sleep!) and we could get good meals at reasonable prices within walking distance of where we were staying.

All in all, a gem of a place in Paris...and even more special to us, as we got engaged while we were there! :)

“What a wonderful host!”

La Villa Paris

My husband and I, together with my parents stayed at Marie’s B&B for 4 nights. Our train delayed due to a regional train strike and we arrived at Marie’s place after 1am but Marie was kind enough to wait up for us. La Villa Paris is a tastefully decorated modern B&B which is located opposite a bus station.
Marie is the most gracious and helpful hostess we’ve ever met! I left my laptop on the bus on our way to Paris and Marie even helped us call the bus company because our French was not good enough to communicate with the bus company. Although we were not able to locate my laptop, we really appreciate Marie’s willingness to help.

“The Best Of The Best”

La Villa Paris

5 of 5 stars
Burlington, Vermont

La Villa Paris is excellent in every respect.

It is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with easy access by multiple Metro, RER, or Tram stations.

The facility is brand new - double glazed windows, new beds, new showers, toilets, et al. The beds are comfortable, there is ample water pressure from the shower, the breakfast is delicious and substantive. Whereas some like to eat only carbs with their morning coffee or tea, Marie, made sure there were various fruits, vegetables, and protein options for those who wanted it..

In the last year we were in London in December 2006, Barcelona in February 2007, Jerusalem in April 2007 and Cancun in August 2007. While each location and B&B (or micro hotel) where we stayed each had their own charms, staying with Marie in Paris in December 2007 was, to quote Mary Poppins, "practically perfect."

While it is not in the center of town, it is a short walk to get to any one of a number of Metro, RER or tram stops. We never slept better. It was easy access to all of the sites, the museums, the shopping, the eating, the walking, plus it is in a great, quiet location.

Four of us (mother, father, two college age teenage daughters) stayed there for 5 nights with one room configured with a double bed with ensuite bathroom and the second room configured with two single beds with ensuite bathroom. The four of us wish all the places we stayed had the same combination (location, quiet, food, comfort, helpfulness, etc) as Marie has put together.

If we have friends visiting Paris we would absolutely recommend La Villa Paris.
