We recently returned from a wonderful, one-week stay at La Villa Paris. After an extensive search of hotels in Paris, we opted to stay at this amazing B&B in order to get a true "slice of life" by residing in a French home and neighborhood. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! While my husband & myself stayed in the "Concorde", our children (ages 23 & 20) were in the "Opera" downstairs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and have all the amenities that one could possibly need (flat screen TVs, WIFI, comfy beds, and electric blackout shades in all windows to name a few).
The owner Marie is simply incredible. She personally prepared our breakfast of croissants, pastries, bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit, cheese, coffee, milk and juice each morning. She then would assist us with our daily itinerary - as she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to restaurants, shopping, the museums, transportation, etc. Although we were out late each evening, we would always return to a note left by her welcoming us home and asking what time we would like breakfast the following morning.
As mentioned, it is a short walk to the Metro at Place d'Italie and the stroll takes you by wonderful shops (and on Tuesdays & Fridays an open-air market set up just outside LVP). It is an equally short distance to the RER train at Cite Universitaire as we made a connection for a day trip to London via the Chunnel one day.
Merci Marie! We definitely hope to return to La Villa Paris some day and visit with you again.
